The Giwa House was such a unique experience, and I’m so happy I had the opportunity to experience it. The house being an old sushi restaurant that opens for one hour a night as a bar was such an interesting setting that my family in Japan was interested in experiencing it for themselves. The location is in the middle of a bar/pub district so there are a lot of patrons enjoying themselves at nearby bars/pubs, which we did not do our research beforehand so were not aware. We had a couple of people in our party who were coming down with a cold and had a harder time getting the rest they needed on our first night due to bar/pub goers, but it was much quieter the next night because it was a Sunday. The hosts were so helpful in making us feel welcomed and went over everything in great detail and patience. Chiharu-San was such a fun person to talk to that it felt like I could talk to her for hours on end.

施設も清潔で、宿泊者が小さな木に絵を描いて、その絵を壁に飾ってあるのがとても素敵だと思いました! 思い出の振り返りをするきっかけにもなりとても楽しかったです。 夜のバー営業でおすすめのスポットや温泉の情報などを聞けたおかげで2日目も充実した1日を過ごすことが出来ました! 近くにスーパーやコンビニなどもあるので、バー営業後もお酒を飲みながら楽しむことができました。 とても素敵な時間を過ごせました!ありがとうございました!!

Our 2 families, including 3 children, enjoyed very much our stay. The guesthouse is comfortable and the shared space (bar/old sushi restaurant) is really amazing. Mishima is a very beautiful and peaceful city, and a great place to stay to explore the surroundings. On the evening, we had a really fun time with Tatsuya and friends during the bar opening time. I warmly recommend this place for everyone: families, couples, friends or solo travellers.
