This holiday home (no smoking) is located in the beautiful pine forest of the Landes department in south-west France in the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region, just 4 km from the Atlantic beach with its fine, golden sand. You can reach it by bike on one of the many cycle paths, by car or by shuttle bus during the season. The beach invites you to wonderful beach days and u.a. for swimming, surfing, kiting and fishing. If you are looking for variety, you can cycle on endless bike paths through the pine forest, sail on one of the many lakes, windsurf, pedal boat, kayak on one of the rivers or enjoy the day on one of the golf courses in the region. For those interested in culture, there is a trip to the Écomusée de Marquèze open-air museum, where you can gain insights into earlier ways of life through a reconstructed 19th-century village with a nostalgic train. Due to the good location between Bourdeaux (including vineyards) and Biarritz and the proximity to e.g. Arcachon (Dune de Pyla, highest dune in Europe, oyster beds), to the Pyrenees and to San Sebastián in Spain, you have many opportunities for wonderful day trips.
