If you are looking for a relaxing break in a very comfortable & stylish house, The French House is the one for you. Set in Middle Street, just 2 minutes from the busy high street with its upmarket boutiques, restaurants and bars, and even closer to the seafront, the beach and the sea gulls make it feel like a proper holiday every time. The house has loads of character and is super comfortable. A home away from home. The French House is arranged over 4 floors. Typical of Deal homes in the conservation area, the stairs are winding so perhaps not to be recommended if you have an elderly relative, although there is a hand rail and stair rope to steady oneself. The ground floor has the sitting room on the front and a lovely large bathroom and laundry area at the back of the house. On the lower ground floor is the kitchen at the rear, which opens to the courtyard, and the breakfast room is at the front. This easily seats 8 and 10 at a push. Upstairs on the first floor there are the two principle double guest rooms both with king size beds, and on the top floor the bedroom is a twin. All bedding, pillows and linen are of the highest quality and are super soft and comfortable and all are also hypo allergenic. There is no parking at the property but the street is wide enough for you to pull up outside to load or unload and there is plenty of pay as you go parking either on the seafront or in several car parks nearby.

Beautiful house :) booked for my sister’s 30th birthday with parents and myself and partner. For such a lovely road, sandwiched in between the seafront and the highstreet, it’s not loud yet it’s no distance from a lovely pub, good chippy and the busy market on Saturdays. Public parking is plentiful and close by. The cosy living room was where we spent most of our time but everyone’s bedrooms were comfy with lovely linen - including the two singles which were big enough for two adults. It’s an old, original building restored and decorated beautifully, was cosy and had everything we needed. On top of all this, contact with hosts is was quick, flexible and friendly. Couldn’t recommend more it was perfect for us and my family were very impressed :)

Lovely house, in a great location, very close to the sea, lovely pubs and restaurants. Very well equipped, comfortable beds with lovely linen. Very nice of Belinda to be so proactive in communicating with us and lovely touches of toiletries, wine and biscuits.

Stunning place! Spent Easter weekend away with my family. Beautifully designed and felt home away from away. Belinda & Thierry were amazing hosts Definitely would love to visit again!

Belinda’s house was even better than the pictures! It was the perfect location to all the great local restaurants and eateries. Great place if you want to stay somewhere and do the White Cliffs of Dover walk.

Wonderful stay! The house is beautifully decorated and has everything you could need. The location is perfect, everything felt 5 minutes away. We loved strolling to the Deal Saturday market (in 1 minute!) and enjoying the fresh produce over the weekend. Would definitely recommend! Only thing to note- the stairs are steep and tight, and although it adds to the charm, elderly/small children would need to be careful.

Deal is a wonderful sea side town, both laid back and unspoilt, and yet buzzing and vibrant all at the same time. Pretty streets of coloured houses and the mile long stretch of pebbled beach are just two of its charms. Deal offers a good number of lovely places to eat and drink, and the high street is well known for its great selection of shops and boutiques as well as its famous Saturday market. The Rose Hotel is a must for a cool vibe and delicious menu, and you can't beat a Sunday breakfast at The Deal Pier cafe, for its breathtaking view of the beach and seafront.

The French House is conveniently located between Deals busy high street and the seafront. You really don’t need your car once you are here. Even Sainsbury’s is only a 10 minute walk away, as is the station should you be coming by train from London. There is no parking at the property but you can either find on-street parking less than 5 minutes walk away or you can pay for metred parking on the seafront or in one of a number of car parks in the town. One tip though, be aware that the market occurs in the Union Street car park on a Saturday so you mustn’t leave your car in the front bays ok a Friday night.
