The apartment is ideally located in the centre of Guejar Sierra near the main plaza and close to bars, restaurants, shops and supermarkets. This traditional village house is a fantastic base for exploring the beautiful natural environment for hiking, cycling, skiing or just relaxing in the countryside. It has spectacular views of the mountains and is accessed via a small plaza with a water fountain and has free parking nearby. This is a historic building which was originally the village town hall. The second floor, where you will be staying, was used for the mail. The high ceilings and French windows give plenty of light inside and get the benefit of sunshine throughout the day. Two double bedrooms have beautiful mountain views as does the living room. There is also a small Juliette balcony. All the rooms lead off the entrance hall with the living/dining room separate to the kitchen.

A nice stay in a lovely clean flat with beautiful views. The village is nice with a few little bars on the square (sleepy during the week, quite a vibe on the weekend) and also a supermarket and bakery. The locals were mostly very friendly. There are stunning hikes nearby, some of which you can start directly from the flat. Parking is fairly easy - there is a large free garage right in front of the flat. There is a playground in front of the flat too which was a nice surprise for us. One small thing to be aware of - there is a bar directly below that played music fairly loudly on Thursday and Saturday night, although on both occasions the music stopped by around 10pm (and that bar has very nice food incidentally). Overall a lovely stay.
Excelente, pasamos un buen fin de semana en la sierra. Casa encantadora, con todo lo necesario y con vistas a la montaña. En pleno pueblo, con un aparcamiento gratuito a escasos metros y restaurantes, supermercados… muy cerca también.
Un sitio precioso para desconectar, el alojamiento limpio y muy buena ubicación! Nos ha encantado nuestros días por allí
What a great place to stay to explore the area. Once parked in the free parking opposite, it was easy to get around the village on foot and even start some great hikes direct from the apartment. Lovely restaurants, supermarket almost next door, great recommendations from Charlotte, and easy access by car to other villages and hikes in the area. Only downside for us was the unseasonal weather - it rained virtually the whole time we were there and was cold, with snow and hail thrown in too! Hoping to return in the sunshine next time but nonetheless an excellent stay and a beautiful area. Thanks Charlotte!

Guejar Sierra is a lively village throughout the year with both locals and tourists enjoying the beautiful surroundings. There is a varied population of Spanish locals and many other nationalities who have made it their home. Many cultural and sporting events take place throughout the year and the village also attracts those who just want a break from the city. At 1,088m the village has an extreme climate with temperatures varying from -5° in winter to 40° in the summer months. The river and reservoir provide essential water during those months. A traditional way of life can still be experienced though it is just 25 minutes from Granada!
There is a free underground parking lot opposite the house and a large parking area as you enter the town. The access road is just before the sports centre on the right. There are also smaller parking areas around the village. It is small enough to walk around and probably easier as the streets are narrow.
The village is 30 mins. by car to Granada. Buses to Granada leave every 30 minutes. They take 45 mins.
