It's peaceful, apart for some traffic noise during the day, and central to all amenities and a railway station. The annex is a converted double garage with a single bedroom, lounge and kitchen, next door to the main detached bungalow. These two properties stand on a small private estate of three dwellings, ours, and two others belonging to members of the same family, all accessed via a private secluded drive. The rooms in the annex could be described as cosy, with a large kitchen.

Tim's place was perfect for my mum who can't manage steps very well. The kitchen is well equipped. Lovely green outlook from the garden -lots of birds. We watched a fox for a while one morning. Great for catching the train to Cardiff. Tim and Pat live next door and know the area well. They sorted a minor issue out immediately. Definitely can recommend.
Tim and his wife are perfect hosts, nice to talk to and very helpful. They even provided toys for the kids. The appartment house close to their house is cozy and you can reach different nice places of wales in a half hour car ride in each direction. Kids liked also to play with the cat!
As I was enrolled for an ultra Cani-trail in Llanharan, I was looking for a bungalow with a garden and private parking in the area that allowed dogs. Based on the well detailed information and photos and very positive reviews, this was just a perfect match. And so indeed, when arriving, it felt like home. It was warm and cosy. Private parking, all utilities are ready for use. You literally only had to bring your bags in, flick the kettle and straight away enjoy your stay over. It was brilliant! My dog is an Irish setter which brings some extra care in as in exercise and his coat. So the big garden was for him perfect to stretch his legs and have a good smell around haha. The hose outside was a bonus to me as I could wash all the dirt of my dog's coat after a walk or the run. To close off, your hosts Tim and Pat are absolutely wonderful. So kindly, I wish more of them existed. It is also amazing to deliver such great level of service and experience since only started last August.
Ideal location for our family visit. What a friendly couple, most welcoming and nothing was too much trouble. Look forward to our next Welsh visit.
We had a wonderful couple of days at the Annex. It was a great place to stay. Well equipped, homely and clean with a large garden and plenty of space to park. Tim & Pat were fab hosts. They were very friendly, greeted us on arrival and gave us lots of local information. We would highly recommend and will definitely be back when we’re in the area.

We are 3 miles from the centre of Bridgend, an 8 minute drive, but have many social amenities on the doorstep. The village boasts 6 Chinese restaurants/take aways (with delivery), an Indian restaurant, 2 pubs, 4 clubs, fish & chip shop, 2 supermarkets, Dominoe's Pizza, garage, a country park and a railway station, all within 5 minute's walk
Plenty of free parking at Chestnut Lodge, 2 minute's walk to the bus stop, 5 minute walk to the railway station and 1 mile to the M4.
