In a perfect world this would be my home away from home. Sherry and Stan really created something special with this space. It’s the reason I even learned of Mérida & for that I will always be grateful! From the architecture and interior design, to the garden, to their attentiveness to guests including supplying great quality coffee/stocked fridge… this space is beyond a dream. It is perfectly walkable to amazing restaurants and museums. The parking right out front is convenient. The pool is even larger than it seems in the photos & was so nice to relax in! Each room had its own unique touch and had good privacy as well. I wish I could keep this space a secret but I know as Mérida tourism grows it’ll be constantly booked out, and rightfully so! We loved it so much! We will definitely be back.

Casa Azul is every bit as beautiful as the pictures the only thing misleading is it is even more spacious than it appears. The beds & linens are nice. Sherry is very responsive, but also respectful of your privacy. The house is set up for easy, hassle free check in. The location is great. We had a 12 person van despite reserving one for 8 thanks to a snafu at MexCar but managed to always park it nearby. There is a gated spot across the street, but we couldn’t fit in it. Merida is very walkable, definitely nice to have a car though to visit the ruins, beach, cenotes, flamingos & haciendas! The kitchen is extremely functional, the cookware is nice. We are an extended family of 7 & ate in 2 nights during our weeklong visit. There is a plancha which is great for cooking for a crowd, but it was not heating up. Sherry sent someone to fix the gas line later, but it made for a difficult dinner. The pool is 7’ deep and stays cool! There is a W/D in the primary bath closet.

We enjoyed everything about Maison Azul, especially the location, the authenticity of the property (colonial architecture, tall ceilings, ample space), the beautiful and peaceful garden and pool, and the superb communication from Sherry. It was a memorable vacation for our family.

This house was beautiful! The outdoor garden area was just a dream. The bathrooms and kitchen were fantastic, the stone and marble is just breathtaking. fresh coffee beans and plenty of supplies was so appreciated. The kids loved the pool and the casita in the back was lovely. The AC units worked perfectly and the ceiling fans were great! Beautiful home, I would stay again.
