-- great place if you plan to eat out a lot (and there are great restaurants nearby) -- no microwave oven -- WIFI is only picking up Verizon cellular, and Verizon cellular is only 2 bars max (so unable to stream shows/movies) -- as per advertized, no TV (which may not matter at all) -- dock and canoe are amazing -- Lots of other good basic and emergency supplies

Lovely peaceful location overlooking Hosmer Pond sitting either on the dock or on the covered porch. Yes the road is between the house and the pond but it's not too busy. The house is minimalist in furnishings but still manages to have all the necessary basics and a little more. That said, a coffee table in front of the couch and one or two more side tables would have made the place more functionally complete. Beds and linens were great. Kind of a steep high ladder to the loft but we didn't need it. Some kind of window covering for the main bedroom would have been very welcome given the early sunrises in June. I managed to hang a small throw from the corners to cover it up. Also nothing covering the bathroom window which looks out into the woods. Screens for more of the windows would have been nice for more fresh air. BTW there's very clear instructions inside the house that you can use the canoe, along with paddles and life preservers, but Vacasa won't know anything about it.

Very clean, gorgeous cabin tucked up against the woods, over looking quiet Hosmer Pond. All amenities as advertised, easy check in via keycode and internet info and house info very clear. Secluded, quiet spot which was perfect for family getaway. My family and I really enjoyed our time there and proximity to Camden, quick walk down the street to the Camden Snowbowl (ski mountain down the street which hosts concerts and events during summer). With a young family, the best part of the rental was the roofed porch, where we hung out after our little one was asleep every night--really nice porch with comfortable furniture to unwind and plan the next day's activities. A canoe with oars and life jackets available was a nice surprise, i don't remember seeing that on the listing. Two minor items that i feel like are worth mentioning to prospective renters-- 1-The driveway is fairly steep and is laid with crushed stone and can be a little difficult to pull out of, as it is on a bend of the road. It is what it is, the driveway will always be steep, but you just need to be careful pulling up the driveway as well as entering the roadway. 2-The entry point to the dock is fairly steep and rocky and the ramp onto the dock itself needs to be better secured. Perhaps it was damaged during the summer and the owner has not had a chance to address it. Minor fix on securing the ramp and a slightly safer solution for the footing to get on to the dock would be an easy upgrade that would really improve the waterfront access area.

We spent a lovely week on Hosmer Pond, out on the canoe, on the deck, running around the pond. We were pleased to find a washer/dryer in unit, and the king-sized bed was very comfortable. The internet was spotty, so I wouldn't count on watching movies there, but you probably won't miss them. Also worth noting that there aren't doors to close for the bunk bed area (or, of course, the lofted bed) so there's just one private room. But all the beds were cozy! It's an ideal location - a heron was on the dock the morning we left.
