The views from the house were beautiful and smiths lake is a relaxing, peaceful place to spend a few days. There were however a number of things that made our stay a little disappointing. Several people ended up covered in ticks from the overgrowth on the property. The wooden stairs leading down to the property need to be cleaned properly or a handrail installed as a few of us slipped due to them being extremely slippery. There were no tea bags/sugar etc. which in all other airbnbs we have stayed in has been provided. The photos for the property showed a table tennis table which looked like a games room which I thought would be good for the kids but this turned out to be a locked room under the carport. The deck is not safe for young children as there are big gaps between the glass railing. The spa bath jets don’t work. The property was not overly clean and definitely needs some maintenance.

The house was lovely, lots of space and opportunities for my family to entertain themselves with cooking, games and water sports. The property is well loved and we felt right at home in the space. Pacific Palms Holiday letting were flexible with our check in time and were great with their communication and reminders.

Comfortable property for two families, as the kids can use the lower layer to hang out and sleep potentially, leaving the top floor for the parent's retreat. Well-appointed kitchen with more accessories than you would ever need. Would shine much more in summer as we weren't able to use the decks mid-winter. Didn't get any use out of the ping pong room as too damp with all this rain to use. Nice to stay in a family's home rather than a generic holiday home. Overall it was good value for a short stay for two families, and we are repeat visitors to the area.

Fantastic house, very homely and the location is just brilliant. It's quiet, spacious and so close to the lake. We had a family catch up and there was room for us all.

Beautiful home in a great location and with direct access to the lake with small water craft, such as kayaks, SUPs etc. Well equiped kitchen, large indoor and outdoor areas and complete with all modern conveniences. Clarification needs to be made on linen. Bring towels as well as sheets as they are not supplied. Overall a comfortable and relaxed time was had by all
