Gaynor was a fantastic host, very responsive, great communication and lots of little touches. Fresh milk and eggs and lots of little essentials. The place is very pretty and peaceful, quite remote which what we love about it. The cottage itself is quite small so it’s perfect for a long weekend or short stay, and with the lovely weather we had the deck was a real treat, and provided a lot of extra space. Would highly recommend.

We stayed for one month and absolutely loved it. While some may find it a bit small for that length of stay, it suited us just fine. The cottage is decorated beautifully and the deck overlooks a pretty ravine. We enjoyed our morning tea watching the sheep, birds and trees blowing in the wind. On hot days it was such a treat to be able to walk down through the paddock to the stream and cool off. The location was ideal for us as it's a short drive to the shops in Pukekohe, but also a short drive to Hunua Regional Park through stunning rolling hills. Our hosts Gaynor and Dave were super friendly and helpful, often going above and beyond to satisfy our sometimes strange requests! They made us feel right at home. The only downside would be that the internet is not the fastest and very spotty at times, but that may have just been an issue during our stay. If fast, reliable internet is important to you check ahead to see what the current internet situation is like.

Amazing little cottage, that felt like home away from home with a nice view of the hills and valley. The evening sun on the porch was very nice in the evening sun
