Situated on a citrus and olive farm, right by the sea and pool with magnificent views to Poros island, our cottage will enchant you! Decorated by a renowned local designer and equipped with all amenities for a comfortable stay, this place is perfect for relaxing holidays. Our cottage is also suitable for digital nomads who want a homy place to stay and work. For those that hold their wedding event at our farm, the cottage is also the perfect wedding suite. The cottage is situated at the end of the privately owned citrus and olive tree farm, right by the sea and about 300m from the main gate, offering an unhindered view to Poros island, which you can admire from a spacious terrace. The interiors are beautifully designed in Greek rustic chic style by a locally renowned designer. The cottage has a private bathroom and kitchen facility. Nearby is a swimming pool, which is shared with guests from the glamping style tents. The Odyssey Eco Glamping is tastefully decorated with respect to nature and Greek traditions. As close to nature as one can get in Greece. Close to the cottage a large shared outdoor living space exists, where our guests can socialize and where they’ll find fans and Wi-Fi to stay connected (signal strength may vary from place to place). A pure 'al fresco' dinner can be cooked in the common outdoor kitchen and enjoyed in the charming outdoor dining area. Lounging around the swimming pool while sipping an ouzo is another of the treats to be enjoyed at Odyssey Eco farm.

We had the best week in Galatas. Everything from communication to check-in, location, people and our little container house were just perfect. We were always waremely welcomed back „home“ after a day outside and even if we had our own kitchen we spent the time in the shared kitchen area because there was always someone from the team to talk to and even show us how to prepare typical Greek dishes. It was nice to have the opportunity to either cook yourself or also eat the delicious breakfast/ food provided. Thank you especially to Christina and Aggelos! We will be back.

We had a really good time. The hosts are very eager to help with anything. We definitely felt taken care of. The place is so nice and has this romantic feeling to it. It’s quiet and surrounded by nature and the sea. Walking through on the pathway of trees is such a nice feeling, even during the night with their attention to details (lighting). Definitely an oasis of good moods.

The property is located at the outskirts of Galatas. You can take a walk to town (approx. 15 min.) on the main street (there is only one road going there so you can't get lost) or by the sea, more romantic choice :-) There is a number of beaches available on the Galatas (mainland) side as well as on Poros island (ask us for more details). For those looking for more activities, there is plenty available in the area: sailing, kayaking, snorkeling, water sports, swimming, cycling, cooking or weaving classes. We can also provide detailed information about nearby sites that are worthwhile visiting like: Hydra, Spetses, Methana, Nafplio, Nemea wine region (we can arrange a wine tasting tour), Ancient Mycenae, Ancient Theatre of Epidavros (ask us for the theatre play schedule) to mention a few.
In the port of Galatas you can take a small taxi boat to the port of Poros. Taxi boats leave about every 10 min.
In Galatas you can find supermarkets, tavernas and coffee shops as well as a playground at the sea side, a medical center and place to rent a car or bike (electrical or conventional).
The farm is located a 15 min walk from the centre of Galatas. You can also use a trusted taxi service (less than 5 min drive; around 4/5 EUR one way) or you can rent a car in one of the 2 rental companies in Galatas from around 35/40 EUR per day. From Galatas you can catch a ferry/taxi boat to Poros island, it operates 24/7. The trip lasts 2 min and costs 1 EUR one way.
From Athens there are multiple options to get to the property:
1. By ferry from the harbour of Pireus (1h trip) (ask us for more details on schedule and tickets)
2. By car (2.5h trip)
3. By bus (2.5h trip) (ask us for more details on schedule and tickets)
4. We can arrange private transport by car/van (pick up at the airport) at cost of 200 EUR one way.

Katerina Sakelliou & Rik ten Arve, How do you describe yourself? Let's give it a try. Both of us are active people and are together for quite a while. Katerina is born on the opposite island of Poros, loves cooking and has an extensive experience with being a host to guests from all over the world. Rik is born in Haaksbergen the Netherlands a came to Poros more or less by accident, his experience is more related to information systems. They both met in 1986 while he was with his brother for holidays on Poros. Since then they are a couple. Together they have one daughter. This is Dora, who currently is the manager of our Odyssey bistro on Poros
