A little bit of paradise in Pauanui - Shell Seekers awaits to host your stay. Escape to this 70’s style ground floor bach that is just a minute walk from the beach and from the Mt Pauanui Summit! Enjoy a lovely outdoor area equipped for all your dining needs. The bedrooms are set up so there is enough room for the whole family. During your stay in this downstairs unit you'll also have access to table tennis, tennis/cricket equipment, surf boards and boogie boards to take down to the beach, life jacket and some old bikes to get around. The best part of this place is you can bring your boat to park until you decide to launch it off the estuary. The park allows a boat and trailer up to 7m. And with only a minutes walk to the beach you are sure to return home with salt in your hair and sand between your toes. Pauanui has amazing scenery, walks and islands that you can boat out to me. Take the boat and go for a spin to Boat Harbour or Slipper Island, where the water is crystal clear! The local shops offer an epic fish and chip spot and as well as a Four Square for everything you made need. You can truly getaway from the hustle and bustle with just a two hour drive out of Auckland. Don’t miss out on this humble getaway - welcome to Shell Seekers.

We were grateful to find a place available for that key NY period that was also pet friendly so in those two areas this property ticked the boxes. The location is great in that it is a 2 minute walk to the beach. It is worth letting others know who are thinking of renting this property that it is in need of some TLC. A number of the doors are hard to open/close and one of the internal doors needs to be fixed as the handle falls off. The outdoor furniture is far poorer than shown and when we arrived the chairs were covered in bird droppings and the glass table was grimy. This property does not have wifi and the TV was stored in pieces in the garage. The gardens were overgrown so getting suitcases to the door was difficult. It has no real lounge/living area to speak of. Our request to arrive slightly earlier than the 3pm check in time was denied by Bachcare who cited 'cleaning' despite us knowing that the property was unattended from 11-3. Price point too high for current condition.
