Nicely decorated house in a good location with lots of room. However, with multiple safety issues. Tilted step into bathroom, floorboards have given way on stairs causing one of us to fall down them, wooden floor is coming up which caused a splinter, dodgy electrics on the oven, shower is over a curved bath. Owner also refused to let us alter the heating despite it being cold during the day, saying it was on a timer and refused to provide any further info.

We loved staying at this cottage, lots of character, very cosy, warm and everything we needed. Appreciated the milk, teabags and wafers on check-in, which was very straightforward. Really close to both the station, high street and sea, which made popping over to the shops/going for a walk easy. Very comfy mattress in the room we stayed in. We don't have a car - we did a trip to Charleston by taxi (about £20 each way), a day trip to Lewes via train and a morning hiking up to Seven Sisters and caught the bus back. As other reviews said, beware of the step in the bathroom! Plumbing a little noisy at night but that's probably due to the cottage being a period property. We'd definitely stay here again.

Lovely property, complete with incredible paintings produced directly into some of the walls. The property was well kitted out (even had clean, unspoilt Le Crusette casserole dish!). The home is very spacious with plenty of room for everyone. Location wise is perfect; just a few minutes walk from the beach and right in the town centre next to restaurants and shops (though on a side road so very quiet). May not be suitable if you have mobility issues, as step going into bathroom is very steep, uneven and slippery. A lovely, beautiful and well through out home.
