Escape from your everyday life at our secluded cabin and experience tranquility and peace outdoors. Unplug and enjoy stargazing, nature, and immerse into country living at its finest surrounded by amazing views. Nestled on a 47 acre private lot, the entire property is yours to explore! We have everything you need for an adventurous yet relaxing stay. We have tried to go above and beyond to provide the best off-grid experience in the comfort of our meticulously kept cabin. The cabin provides a great place to escape the natural elements, with some feelings of "home" to make the experience cozy and enjoyable. However, please remember that this is a off-grid experience which means there will be certain limitations. Be sure to review the "Other details to note" section for important information. We encourage you to bring your ATVs, dirt bikes, or off-road toys because you will have tons of space to ride around! You’ll find plenty of other amenities to keep the kids happy all day, including a playground, swing set, tricycle course, smart TV, and a recreation room that's sure to keep even the grown-ups entertained. This is the perfect retreat to gather with loved ones and reconnect with yourself and nature. We can't express how much it means to share this special space of ours with you! Our cabin sleeps up to 10 people comfortably. There are tons of amenities to partake in, but our favorite is simply enjoying the outdoors. This location is very remote and offers a great getaway. The pictures and description are as advertised. The camp is clean and very well stocked with amenities. With ample beds, full kitchen, multiple bathrooms, this is a great place for a group. The host is very responsive and extremely helpful. I highly recommend staying here, and would come back!
This place is an amazing getaway with easy access to the Grand Canyon. If you want peace and quiet in a beautiful cabin, this is the stay for you.
What an amazing cabin! We had the best Father’s Day trip staying at Camp Picacho. The house is well stocked, tons of sleeping room and very comfortable. The cons: please note these are out of the hosts control but worth sharing. There was a crazy wind so we had some issues being outside with flying dirt or inside since you have to open the windows on hot days so be sure to bring sunglasses/goggles and be mentally prepared for a coating of dust on everything. The road to get in is rough, especially when hauling off road vehicles. Please be sure to follow their directions not GPS and try to avoid having to leave. Not many cons for the actual home beyond it’s a wood cabin so not very sound proof. It’s made for a large group so make sure you want to hear everything everyone does. The porch swing is the best seat in the house but is a little rough so be sure to sit on a towel. The Pros: This property is great for being outside. There are a ton of paths and trails to walk or ride. The kids loved the swing set and tire area. The house had a ton of games and movies and wifi was strong enough for me to work. The game garage was a nice second space to break up the group and have fun especially when it cools down at night. The grill was usueful and having a couple fire pits was really fun. They have a ton of solar lights so the property is really useful even in the dark. The water pressure is great and made quick bathing easy. We’d return and bring an even larger group!

You will have plenty to keep you busy during your stay at Camp Picacho! However, should you choose to explore outside of the property, we are only:
- 1hr 20min to the Grand Canyon
- 1hr 15min to Prescott
- 1hr 35min to Sedona
- 2hr 15min from the Phoenix area
- 3hrs to Las Vegas
The last 2 miles do involve driving on a dirt road until you reach the cabin. The road is pretty clean but can be a bit bumpy. A 4WD vehicle is highly recommended especially during winter or rainy days but not always necessary. Throughout the rest of the year, however, any vehicle should be able to drive in just fine. We've even had a Prius make it out here with no problem! Be sure to check the weather before driving up though.
Once you get here, you probably won't want to run out for groceries or last minute items. We're only about a 15 minute drive into the town of Ash Fork, but it can be an annoyance to make a 30 minute round trip for milk. So be sure to bring all needed food or toiletry items for your stay.
