This loft is considered an OFF-GRID GLAMPING experience. There is: NO TV -- instead there is an Outdoor Cinema Under the Stars Experience! (connects to Prime Video/Netflix) NO refrigerator -- but a large cooler in the outdoor kitchen (bring your own ice) This was intentional in the design. If a TV is essential to your vacation, please do not book this off-grid stay - it was created for people who want to reconnect with nature and disconnect from stress by immersing themselves in nature's ambiance. Wifi is available, so although there is no TV inside the Loft itself, you can basically watch anything free that is on Netflix or Amazon Prime on the outdoor movie screen and if you have your own laptop/tablet that you wish to view from, you can also watch your media from inside the loft itself (there is a HDMI cable for a laptop connection to the outdoor movie projector as well). Who needs a TV these days when you can watch the exact media you wish to online? And there's no cooler way to do that then sitting under the stars! While there are some very nice luxuries and a very comfortable tiny home to sleep in, there are more traditional aspects of the camping experience such as the outdoor kitchen (it is covered) and the composting toilet (in an enclosed bathroom). If this makes you uncomfortable, this is not the vacation for you. The loft is set in a private canyon, with surrounding hills and the sounds of nature all around. In the morning you may hear the soft coos of the California Quail, catch the sight of a quick footed Roadrunner or hear the cackles of the coyotes at night. Some of our local guests swear they have left San Diego city far behind, even though its lights are viewable from the back deck! Outdoor Hot Soaking Tub -- the Hot Soaking Tub begins with a FRESH tub of water for every soak. And because YOU control the temperature of the water with Hot & Cold settings just like a regular tub, you can make it as Hot or even as Cold as you want it (we know some of you like those cold water plunges)! This is very sanitary compared to a traditional Hot Tub that reuses the same water over & over... Outdoor Cinema Under the Stars- this very unique outdoor projector/screen experience allows guests to download free content (movies/tv shows,etc). and play the content on a large outdoor screen. So although there is no TV inside the Loft itself, you basically can watch anything that is on Netflix or Amazon Prime on the outdoor movie screen or bring a laptop to watch your media inside the loft. Loft bed - custom loft bed is set in the perfect spot for a view of the city lights right from your loft window. The queen size Nectar Memory Foam mattress is extremely comfortable. Cookout on the BBQ and enjoy a night around the fire pit while watching a movie on the patio -- a one of a kind experience! Although the loft is technically off-grid it does not lack in comfort. The propane tank-less water heater provides unlimited hot water for the tub and shower. A radiant air cooler/fan keeps the temperature comfortable, even during hot weather, and a heater warms the loft quickly for cool nights. There are 2-110 volt electric plugs that will power things like a laptop, cellphone charger, curling iron. The bathroom has a composting toilet, that is separate from the sleeping/living area. Please Note: **Where to park** The loft is located 1/4 mile from the front gate of the property on a steep gravel driveway. If you have a 4 WHEEL drive vehicle, you can make the drive down into the canyon and park directly by the loft tiny home. 1 parking space at the TOP of the canyon is available for vehicles w/o 4-WHEEL drive with a golf cart available for use to transfer down to the Loft. ONLY 1 vehicle space is available for this Airbnb. We CANNOT accommodate any additional vehicles as there simply is no room. If a vehicle without 4-WHEEL drive tries to drive down to the Loft and gets stuck, the vehicle will be towed at the vehicle owners expense. If you are at all hesitant that your vehicle is not 4-WHEEL drive or you are not confident in your driving skills, it will be better if you park at the TOP and take the golf cart - trust us - it will NOT be fun if your vehicle gets stuck in the canyon and you will lose many hours of your precious vacation time! The golf cart is super easy to operate (instructions are provided), great for luggage transport, and really a great & fun way to start your vacation! The walk down to the tiny home is beautiful, however, it is much too long and strenuous to do it on foot. Please let us know if you have any questions about this before making a reservation. Local Hike: From the top of the driveway, walk to one of the BEST overlooks in all of San Diego county! From this spot you can see Downtown, Ocean Views, Coronado Island, Sweetwater Lake, Point Loma and the East County Mountains - an incredible 360 degree view from the top -- worth the short 20 min hike up the hill! There is just 1 dedicated assigned parking spot within the gated area for the Loft. This is strictly enforced since parking here is very limited and there is not really any street parking available that is close. There are video cameras located on the property for check-in purposes only, at the entrance of the property to ensure there are no more than 2 guests or that there are no animals brought to the property (both are against our house rules & will be cause for immediate cancellation of your reservation). There are absolutely NO cameras inside the Loft or in its outside areas. No recreational drugs, smoking or vaping allowed inside the loft. --View our other available listings by clicking on our profile pic-- **HOUSE RULES** * This listing is for 2 ADULT registered guests ONLY, arriving in the same vehicle to enter the gated property. The Airbnb booking does not accommodate additional guests or visitors at ANYTIME or for ANY reason. Additional visitors to the property are not welcome and are trespassing on private property. * No animals are allowed at this listing *Only one vehicle space is provided for the Airbnb reservation. There is absolutely no room for an additional vehicle at anytime. *NO PETS allowed, NO exceptions! There are SEVERAL reasons why: *We live on a canyon that has a VERY active coyote presence - in fact you will almost certainly see them or hear them during your stay. Pets HAVE been lost here to coyotes and they are extremely smart, crafty and fast. *Guests have noted allergies that are compromised by pet dander/hair. *We also own a small hobby farm, and our animals are easily scared by other peoples pets that they are not acquainted with and it will cause problems.
