We consider the location of our boat one of Utrecht's best kept secrets. The lush green views, quiet neighbourhood and clear water make it hard to believe this is so close to the city center, but it is! There are train tracks near, but you only hear trains occasionally. There is hardly any boat traffic and we swim here all summer. There are supermarkets close by and several restaurants within a few minutes by foot. Ledig Erf is at a 10 minute walk and has an arthouse cinema, lots of bars, restaurants, unique shops and specialty food shops. The big cinema Kinepolis is at a 13 minutes walk. Downtown is accessible through various routes, the quickest being the 'Moreelsebrug' bridge (20 minutes walk to Mariaplaats).

Buses are nearby (2 min walk, Croeselaan) and there are 2 train stations within walking distance: Central Station (15 min walk) and Vaartsche Rijn Station (7 min walk). Paid parking on our street, only free on sundays.
