The house is in a great location for the city centre, just a short 20 minute walk. Off street parking was OK and we got a space very nearby or just outside. Check in was easy and well explained. Hosts are very helpful and gave clear instructions. The house has 2 decent size bedrooms, lounge sofa bed and large bathroom with separate shower. The house is well equipped and has a nice rear courtyard.

plus points: The property has a nice layout. The bed was comfy. The bedroom was clean, and the bed linen, towels, and toiletries were good. It is within an easy walk/drive into Chester. Nice touch with the proseeco. The courtyard is a nice space ( if not a little tired ), and the guttering overflows when it rains. negative points: downstairs, was not overly clean. The soft furnishings were marked, all skirting boards around the downstairs were dirty, and the kitchen cupboard doors inside and out had a build-up of grease/dirt. The kitchen smelled damp The downstairs smoke alarm beeped from the first night. this was reported. This was going to be our go-to property in the area. unfortunately, it needs to be refreshed before I would go back

Overall, our 2 week stay was satisfactory. The location was chosen due to family in the neighbourhood. The beds, bedding, towels, and toiletries were all great. However, we had a feeling of a lack of upkeep in the property, especially in the bathroom and kitchen, due to age, wear and tear, and timely refurbishment and maintenance of fixtures and fittings Furthermore, a deep-clean would be advisable as many surfaces felt sticky to touch. The running and communication are not directly with the owner but via a holiday-let management company and come across as less personal and rather long-winded for answers to simple questions and requests. Safety, especially for my wife and child, the street is not well lit in the evening, and many properties have one or more key-locks. Waste collection is on the street with plastic bin bags & recycle boxes being left permanently on the pavement by some residents. Parking is very tight and also on curb. Price to quality, we expected more.
