Robert’s place was so peaceful and quiet! If you’re looking for a retreat on the coast, this is a wonderful option. We loved walking along the sound and enjoying the views from the porch swing. The house was very clean, kitchen was well equipped, lots of blankets and pillows for a comfortable stay.

cute cozy cottage with an awesome porch for relaxing after a day on the beach. Robert was one of the most gracious host I've had the pleasure of dealing with. Hopefully we'll be able to return next summer

The house was just what my family needed!Cozy little beach house with all the amenities needed to make for a comfortable stay! It is remote and private and away from the hustle and bustle. Calm water and friendly people all around. We brought a crock pot with us so we could put dinner in that would be ready when we left the beach too relaxed to be bothered to cook and it worked out perfectly for us. Spent our nights listening to the wind blowing and playing cards on the porch.

This place was sweet for our vacation. The screened in porch is the gem of the house and you’ll have all the necessities. That being said, there were some disappointing amenities. The couch is extremely uncomfortable; a sectional that doesn’t connect and splits apart when ever you move. My partner fell between the pieces more than once. Cedar beach is beautiful but small and shallow. A day is more than enough time there. There is nothing to do on cedar island which is great at times and disappointing at others. It all depends on what you’re looking for. Being near the ferry to Ocracoke is great, and it’s an hour to more swimmable beaches. Also, cedar island is deeply conservative. The only general store has a huge life size trump cut out at the entrance. Have fun!
