We stayed here five years ago on our honeymoon and were excited to return. Great location, nice amenities, and spectacular view. We will be back!
My wife and I stayed here for our honeymoon and had a terrible experience. We were coming from Hilo side, so we didn't get into the unit until later in the evening, around 9pm or so. We unpacked and ate dinner. We were tired and went to sleep. The next morning around sunrise, we were surprisingly woken by loud banging and construction noises. We had no idea the unit did not have windows/only gelesies, so no privacy. Not really that big of a deal though since we only booked for 3 days and the following 2 days had plans to leave by 6am. However, before we were going to leave for the day, my wife was making the bed and saw bugs on the pillow. She showed me and they were actually not just on the pillows but as well crawling around on the sheets. We documented this by taking pictures and videos thinking we would need to show the property manager/host for the rental. (there were ants trailing all over the kitchen too so quite a bit of food we put on the counter, we saw the next day was destroyed by these ants). We contacted the host right away and described what we were dealing with. They stated they were going to charge us for staying a night there and half of another day. We arrived late, about 9pm, and we called them as soon as finding the bugs in the bed which was about 2/3pm or so. They charge $495 a night. We were charged a total of $2011.90 for staying from 9pm till 2/3pmish the next day. They only offered to refund us $903.61. Therefore a remaining charge of $1108.29 they feel entitled to charge us for staying there, when we never would have stayed there having known the bed has bugs.
We could not have asked for a more perfect place. It was just magnificent! Perfect location and such a relaxing place in paradise. We would stay again in a heartbeat!
Great condo with awesome views and access to a secluded beach! Listing is accurate and fantastic communication with management to address any concerns. Would recommend!!
