The master bedroom is located on the first floor and includes a king sized bed and attached, remodeled, master bathroom with shower. You will find two more bedrooms on the second floor. One bedroom has a queen bed and another with two full sized beds. All bedrooms have closets with built in shelving, sound machine and rack for suit cases. This home maintains its historic charm, with original hardwood floors and exposed brick in some areas while including modern conveniences like central air and heat. The kitchen is my favorite room. It has original woodwork, flooring and exposed brick, wooden bar and it also has modern appliances to include a refrigerator/freezer, oven/stove, microwave, coffee pot, dishwasher and icemaker. Starter pack of coffee, filters and several different sweeteners provided. Recessed lighting and beautiful light fixtures are located throughout the home. Your family will enjoy time spent talking, relaxing and watching TV in the living room. You will find a comfortable pull out couch with plenty of pillows, extra blankets, high Speed internet and 55" Roku TV. Streaming services such as HULU, Disney+, HBO Max, Peacock are provided. The spacious dining room has plenty of seating. The large dining room table has seating for 6, the breakfast nook has seating for two more and the bar between the dining room and kitchen has seating for four. Besides eating there is plenty of room for family board game night or building a puzzle.(some games and puzzles provided) On the first floor, there is a desk and chair in a nook that you can set up a laptop and use it during your workcation. I've spent many days working from home, looking out the large, nearby window. On the second floor, at the top of the stairs is a sitting room with two Pottery Barn wicker chairs. This is a great area to relax, unwind and read a book or just sit and admire the artwork. There are original oil and water color paintings from local Gettysburg artists on the walls. Besides the 2 bedrooms on the second floor, there is a very large, modern bathroom with tub and shower. Located off the bathroom is the laundry room with washer and dryer. There is an ironing board, iron and clothes steamer available for guest use. A supermarket and 7-11 are both 1 block away for additional supplies. In November of 1863, just 4 months after the battle of Gettysburg, President Abraham Lincoln came to town to dedicate the National Soldiers Cemetery.
