Lovely campsite for young families. Excellent facilities for younger children having the farm as well as the playground and games equipment available until dusk. Our teens were happy with the table tennis and pool table. Lovely bar area and cafe with delicious takeaway food. Well stocked shop. The bell tent was nice but please note the photos are not completely accurate. There is no decking around the tent and if more than 2 of you the children have just a foam type mattress on the floor (not a futon). The kids sheets get quite dirty from the floor and bugs crawl in easily....would have preferred camp beds/raised beds. The site seemed full and unfortunately there were several groups of families that didn't keep there noise levels down after 10 and combined with babies waking up screaming through the night it didn't make for a very restful stay (take earplugs you). You are asked for a £200 deposit on arrival. We were told this was in terms and conditions but they are not stated on here and we didn't receive them in an email. There is free parking next to the bell tents with 3 bays for 4 tents so luckily there were a group staying in the other tents that parked infront of each other. The toilets are not very clean...they smelt of urine. I know it's the guests that make the mess but both more frequent and more thorough cleaning is needed.

A friendly and welcoming site. Plenty of amenities available and a shop for essentials (bring your own supplies if you have a dairy allergy though! I always make sure I do :) ). The tents are located in a cluster so create a bit of a village, it would be good if you were going with a group of friends at the same time. I liked that the site ask for quiet time after 10 pm. I did find that when the temperature dropped at night the bedding wasn't anywhere near warm enough for me and I wished I had taken a sleeping bag. Being a campsite, I could hear babies crying through the night, so also wished I had taken ear plugs! For these two reasons I decided to leave early. When you get there the hosts ask you for a £200 security deposit and this information didn't come through with the booking, and whilst it was okay for me, it might not be for someone else. Great location for visiting local beaches and villages. I particularly enjoyed spotting the noctule bats over the campsite at sundown.
