The communication and general organisation left to be desired, I was never sent an exact address or any indication about finding the location, simply a Google pin, which made it difficult to explain to the bus driver which we took from the airport. Furthermore, we were told to get off the bus at different location and that an electric cart would be arranged to pick us up. We did so only to be told that there wasn’t going to be anyone picking us up, so we ended up having to hire another vehicle to complete the trip and pay for it. The main issue being, we had been traveling with elderly people and young children in our group since 8am that day, last thing we wanted was to struggle finding the place and even less having to switch between several transportation methods with our luggage at 7pm. Upon arriving, a young man politely greeted us. I mentioned the issue we had with transportation along with the fact that the fridge/freezer was sticky and smelled heavily of stale seafood. My concerns were only met with excuses and no action had been taken. Lastly, some information about the house such as the wifi passcode, facilities around the villa, tips on getting around Halong would’ve been vastly appreciated and easily achieved. Our overall experience was alright, the house is well located enough and is very fairly priced for that many rooms. Each room was well equipped with amenities and comfortable, the only minus was the fact that the furniture in the living room and kitchen were very tired / damaged.
