Having read so many glowing reviews we came to Barbados hopeful we’d have a good holiday, needless to say this hope was not only met but exceeded. From the moment you arrive Pete goes out of his way to make you feel a home away from home. We had a stocked fridge, a homemade meal, pancakes the next morning and he couldn’t do enough to make us feel comfortable. We enjoyed pizza night, playing with the dogs and a jam evening where we got to hear live music and enjoy a few beers! We all felt pretty emotional leaving, that’s how special Pete and his home is. The accommodation is rustic and with two kids under 3 we had to do a bit of risk assessing but we were comfortable and the kids loved it. If you’re used to pristine, modern hotels then this probably isn’t your vibe but if you love nature, tranquility, a kind and enigmatic host and something a bit different on your travels then this is the spot. The pool is wonderful, communication is great and the Wifi excellent. Thank you Pete!

We had a very relaxing vacation. The pool was wonderful. It was very close and never crowded. The grounds had beautiful flowers and trees. Lots of birds to enjoy. Monkeys were roaming around the trees making great photo opportunities. Peter was a wonderful host and enjoys entertaining. Pizza night was so tasty, you get to make your own personal pizza and then cook it in a wood fired pizza oven. It was awesome! We did find that having a car was the way to go. As long as you can drive on the left.

We just returned from Oughterson Plantation and are missing it already. We had such a relaxing holiday. Although we rented a car, we used it about 3 times to go to the supermarket and down to the beach a couple of times as we were just so happy to hang out at our cottage and down at the pool. Pete is a wonderful host making us feel like family. Dinner the first night, breakfast our first morning, pizza with everyone one night, these were only some of the things that added to this amazing holiday. Thank you for everything Peter, especially Pap’s rum punch. I slept like a baby on the plane ride home.

Honestly the most wonderful place we’ve ever stayed with a host like no other! Peter made us a lovely welcome meal and also organised a communal pizza evening which was a real treat. My 12 year old son was in awe when we arrived and was so excited over the treehouse feel of the property. The grounds are lovely and the pool is fantastic. Outdoor shower was also lovely, indoor showers feel a bit boring now! Everything has been very well thought out and you can feel so much love, time & dedication has gone into everything. We hired a car which was really helpful whilst at the property, I’d recommend this, you’re never far from a beach or somewhere new to explore! We hope one day that we can return as we loved our stay so much and we’ll remember it forever. Thank you so much!

Wir sind eine Familie mit drei Kindern auf Welteise. Somit haben wir bereits viele Airbnbs gemietet. Wir waren insgesamt 27 Tage dort. Diese Unterkunft war mit Abstand die aller tollste Unterkunft auf der gesamten Reise. Peter ist wirklich ein ganz besonderer Mensch. Wir haben ihn direkt ab dem ersten Moment in unser Herz geschlossen. Wie bereits in einem anderen Bericht geschrieben, ist es wie einen alten Freund zu besuchen. An vielen Tagen wollten die Kinder überhaupt nichts auf der Insel unternehmen. Sie waren glücklich und immer sehr beschäftigt auf dem tollen Gelände, der sagenhaften Terasse mitten im Grünen und im Pool. Wir haben uns immer sehr gefreut,wenn uns die Hunde besuchten. Alle Hunde sind selbst für kleine Kinder sehr zu empfehlen. Peter hat uns mit Pizzaabenden, Kinoabenden, Pfannkuchenüberraschung am Morgen und der Bandprobe sehr viel Freude bereitet. Falls ihr die Möglichkeit habt, solltet ihr diese Unterkunft unbedingt mieten!!!! Vielen vielen Dank lieber Peter😘
