Had a fantastic stay at Janet and Philips Chateau. Our hosts were kind and charming, regaled us with fascinating stories and made us feel right at home. The Chateau itself has been beautifully restored with a lot of attention to detail and is well equipped with modern comforts to make for a very enjoyable stay. Each room comes with its own kitchenette for basic things like making coffee, tea and breakfast and the hosts had ensured that it was very well stocked. Despite summer being at its peak during our visit, the Chateau was cool and pleasant. Thank you Janet and Philip for a really, really special stay. Both of you are amazing ! - hope to be back again.

Arriving at the beautiful Chateau la Fare, we had a warm welcome by Philip and Janet. They took the time to show us around and explain about the history and renovation of the chateau. The suite is spacious, clean and decorated very nicely. Everything you could wish for. Thanks again Philip and Janet for your generosity and kindness!

Avid travellers, this is hands down the best property we have stayed at. Aside from Janet and Philip being warm and attentive hosts, the chateau really feels like you are stepping into a fairytale. We enjoyed a few days relaxing in the Empire Suite and the chateau gardens as well as a walk up the riverbed at Pont du Camisards, just up the road. The towns of Nimes and Montpellier are 30-60 minutes drive away and also make for a lovely day out, making this a great base to explore a bit and relax as well. We had our six month old with us and Janet and Philip were kind enough to provide a cot and high chair. The chateau has such an interesting history and is lovingly restored by Janet and Philip which makes it very special. You also have access to a huge, well equipped kitchen, dining room and lounge (shared with other guests who we enjoyed getting to know!) The Empire Suite is the newest room to have been done in the chateau; it is elegantly decorated with scrumptious linen, a kitchenette (really handy if you are travelling with a baby!) and an ensuite bath and shower. This was a magical cal stay, and we highly, highly recommend to other guests!
