Vilcabamba is characterized by being an island of peace, with friendly and respectful people, open to national and foreign tourists. It is a safe neighborhood, whose inhabitants know each other quite well.
Access to the house is shared, but once you enter the apartment, the entire space is private only for guests.
We are in the heart of Vilcabamba and, therefore, close to everything: 100 meters from the central park and very close to the church, restaurants, ATMs, shops, pharmacies, taxi service, horse and bicycle rental, etc.
If you want a quiet space, this is your ideal place, although you must consider that, despite being a small and touristy town, because it is in the center, you will always hear the passing of a car, motorcycle, horses or, occasionally, , a bit of music; That is, noise may be felt at times. In the center of Vilcabamba you will not find absolute silence, there are always people moving or working and, therefore, generating a bit of noise.

If you arrive in your own vehicle you can visit several tourist places in the area; otherwise, two blocks away is the taxi service. Also, for the tranquility and security of the place, you can tour the town on foot, by bicycle or on horseback. The rental of bicycles or horses can be found near the apartment.
From there you can go hiking along the banks of the river; If you like adventure, you can walk to the waterfalls. In Vilcabamba the best known are the Escondida and El Palto waterfalls. The closest is the Escondida waterfall, which can be visited, in its first part, by bicycle, horse or taxi, via Yamburara Alto, on the Yambala River; Then you can continue on horseback or on foot, for half an hour: the place is wonderful, you reach a waterfall of cold, crystalline water, which has a pool at its foot, where the visitor can bathe. To go to the El Palto waterfall, you can also reach the main entrance by walking, by horse, bicycle or by taxi, then you need to walk 2h30 to get to the place. It is an incredible waterfall 30 meters high; You can climb Mandango, a characteristic hill of the town or rent bicycles or horses to tour and enjoy the beautiful climate of Vilcabamba.
