Hi, I'm a wife, mom of 4 great kids, (plus the 3 who have chosen to join us!), BB to seven grands and enjoying this empty nester life! We actually don't travel too much, but years and years ago we fell in love with Grand Lake. The lake had always been a part of our lives growing up--either visiting with friends or family members, then eventually enjoying weekends there while my husband and I were dating. After we were married and began having children our funds were pretty tight to afford any type of real "vacation". Fortunately, a good family friend of my folks lent us their lake house for an entire week one summer! That was IT! We were hooked! We continued to use our friends lake house for several years until our kids were older with tons of activities that kept us homebound most of the time. In 2009, we were ready to visit the lake again. When we called to ask to stay, we were informed "the place next door" was up for sale! Three months later, we had our own little place and we continue to love being at the lake as much as we can. Our family has grown and we require a bit more space for "overflow" on occasion. There was a little cabin in the woods up the road that I dreamed of possibly renovating one day. In 2014, that dream came true and I spent the summer and fall creating a wonderful little retreat that is perfect to relax and decompress from the fast pace of daily life. The little one-room Cabin became our first Airbnb. In 2021, we were able to purchase our second Airbnb property, The Cottage, just down the road from the Cabin. The Cottage is really more of a "lakehouse" with a phenomenal lakeview of Dripping Springs and it will easily accommodate a large family or group of friends. I love hosting people and hopefully have thought of just about everything to make your stay as pleasant as possible. I am always just a phone call away and want to make sure you are at "home" in our little Cabin in the Woods or our Cottage at Dripping Springs! Enjoy!
