This unit is part of a home historically significant to its neighborhood--it once served as a general store and a post office, and now it makes a beautiful spot from which to survey the charming waterfront town and go fishing, sailing, and motorboating! Many years ago, this home was the meeting place for everyone to catch up on the day's news in the town of Pamlico. Since then, the house has been re-oriented, elevated, and made into two separate living quarters, one of which is plenty spacious and is offered here as your waterfront retreat. The flavor of the past--a convivial rusticity, but with today's amenities--lives on in this beautiful space with high gloss pine floors, an outstanding wraparound deck (shared space), and boat ramp into quiet water (what we call a "gut") that quickly transitions to Broad Creek-- prime NC boating water. The water is practically boiling with fish in the summer, and the sunset is unbelievably gorgeous! You'll want to grab a glass of wine and curl up on the outdoor sectional, get the firepit going, and just glory in the sunset every night! Wintertime brings in the pelicans and occasionally the otters, but the great blue heron and the dolphins may surprise you at any time!
