John is a superb host -- attentive, communicative, responsive, and proactive. It was a pleasure to stay at the cottage. The space is comfortable and in a gorgeous, peaceful location. We loved seeing the stars at night and the wildlife during the day. When we were there, it was quite cold outside, and the space, though very well insulated, does not have heat. John provided two space heaters, and it took us a bit of time to figure out how to manage them so that the temperature inside was comfy. We were sad not to be able to use the beautiful screened in porch, but it was simply too cold to hang out there. Thanks, John, for a lovely stay in your cottage. We really enjoyed our time in West Tisbury.

John's cottage exceeded expectations on many fronts and was a perfect place for exploring Martha's Vineyard. The interior space is well-thought out: the porch allows a place for wet boots and removing sandy footwear, and the shelves near the bed allow for plenty of storage. The living area flows well into the kitchen and bathroom, and well-placed windows allow for generous light when you want it, but if you want to sleep in you don't get blasted with light in the morning. The composting toilet works very well and has an always-on fan to ensure no bad smells reach your nose. The insulated cabin stayed quite warm with the supplied heater during our stay in late October too, so I imagine it stays quite cool in the warm summer months as well, especially with an AC unit going. Location-wise, you're central to most attractions on the island, can walk to a bus station that can take you nearly anywhere on-island, and nearly every place is within a 20 minute drive. Excellent value, hard to beat

Beautiful cozy spot in a tranquil wooded area. We loved the outdoor shower in the private back yard area. The cabin seems newly renovated in a clean modern style. Good location near Gray Barn and 7a. Recommended!
