Booked a last minute getaway at Tim and Michaela's. Found their home to be cozy, pleasantly decorated, and in a peaceful, private setting, as described. Perhaps it was because I booked close to the actual trip time, but I found the house to be less clean than I would have hoped. Specifically, there was visible dust, cobwebs, and pet hair in a number of places around the house. In addition, three of the four overhead lights in the living area were out, which resulted in significantly less light than I prefer before the handyman was able to come fix the issue. Some lamps around the house did help bridge the gap a bit. All of that being said, Tim and Michaela were very responsive to messaging and seemed to handle concerns as quickly as one could reasonably expect. They provided a great guidebook for the area, too, and arrival and leaving procedures were quick and easy to manage. Bed and linens were quite soft and comfortable. Not the best Airbnb I've been in, but certainly nice enough.

Michaela and Tim’s place was just what I was looking for…a comfortable lake house to enjoy the CT fall foliage. The bed was super comfortable with the best linens I’ve ever slept on, the living space was open and inviting, and the lake was beautiful. The stairs from the parking area require some extra care and attention. Also, the water pressure in the shower wasn’t ideal, but I assume that is a function of older plumbing and a well. Overall I would definitely consider this lake house for my next leaf peeping trip.

My husband and I stayed 3 nights . We had an amazing time. The place is beautiful and the view of the lake in he morning and late noon was breathtaking .The house is very cozy and has everything you need to have a great time. I highly recommend this place .

We had a wonderful stay! The setting is spectacular! It’s private, quiet and the views are breathtaking! The house is beautiful, clean and cozy. We loved every minute of our stay and hope to come back again someday. Thank you!

My husband and I had a delightful 3 nights at Long Meadow Lake. The house is as pictured and very private. The view is stunning. We used their kayaks both days. With the cool temperature at night, we used the fire pit 2 of the nights and enjoyed star gazing from the dock. The lake is big enough and yet, not too big. The hosts were communicative and ready to help in any way. Take note of the steep entrance down to the parking area as well as the three flights of steps from the parking area to the house, but there are handrails and plenty of lighting on the steps. The kitchen is well equipped, and we prepared most of our meals in the house. I recommend eating dinner at Oliva Restaurant while you are there - a short drive from the house and delicious!
