Die schöne historische Wohnung einfach aber geschmackvoll eingerichtet und liegt in zentraler Lage in Appenzell. Von der grossen und gut ausgestatteten Küche aus kann man dem Treiben unten auf dem Platz zusehen. Remi hat uns nett empfangen und die Kommunikation mit ihm war unkompliziert. Auch die von ihm zur Verfügung gestellten Informationsdokumente waren sehr hilfreich. Aktuell muss einfach wissen, dass im Haus immer noch letzte Renovationsarbeiten durchgeführt werden, wobei wir diese während unseres Aufenthalts als nicht weiter störend empfunden haben. Insgesamt haben wir uns in Remis historischem Familienhaus sehr wohl gefühlt und fanden, dass es unseren Aufenthalt in Appenzell zu etwas Besonderem gemacht hat.
Remi’s place is in such a great location, beautiful outlook onto a square with cafes and restaurants. The space feels very authentic to Remi and his family and you can see the care taken in renovating. Would highly recommend, especially for the location alone!
For the price, it was great! Incredible location with quick access to almost whatever you need. Easy walk from train station. Parts of interior were under construction causing some dust and some things out of place but I knew ahead of time and it was fine. Remi was very responsive and friendly. Due to construction Remi moved my room and was very fair and reduced my rate. he seems very trustworthy! overall great experience.
Very responsive and friendly host. Remi was always available to answer any questions and provide recommendations. The location was amazing. We loved Appenzell village and the surrounding area, especially hiking around Ebenalp. The room we rented was large and came with a private bathroom. Remi's home is about 460 years old; the history Remi provided was fascinating. We look forward to a return visit. This trip, we stayed 3 nights, which is the minimum stay to obtain the Appenzell Card (saved us quite a bit of money), but we will stay longer the next visit.
beautiful old house. Nice and neat. comfortable and so so peaceful. the toilet looks freshly renovated and very modern compared to the rest of the house that was so beautifully traditional and quaint. my friends and I stayed in the 2nd floor with 2 adjoining rooms. restoration works were ongoing so the 1st floor was cordoned off with steps that were still undergoing renovation. but once we reached the 2nd floor, we were greeted by this quaint kitchen and 2 beautiful rooms on the left. the location is very near the main station and walkable around a beautiful little town. very relaxing and quiet when we were there. the only struggle we had were that there were few wall sockets in the both rooms. there are more electric sockets on the outside, in a shared kitchen area only. but other that that, remi is a great host and this house is a must stay

Nach mehreren berufsbedingten Aufenthalten in verschiedenen Städten der Schweiz wohne ich jetzt in Appenzell, einem Dorf am Fusse des Alpsteins. Ich bewohne dort ein im Mittelalter erbautes Holzhaus. Einige Zimmer dieses Hauses habe ich sanft restaurieren lassen und kann nun deren historischen Charme zeigen. Das betrifft primär die drei Gästezimmer im zweiten Stock, während die Ferienwohnung und das Erdgeschoss noch wie früher eingerichtet ist. Meine persönlichen Interessen sind vor allem Kulturreisen, Kunst, spirituelle Praxis, Massage, integrale Philosophie, Beziehung zwischen östlicher und westlicher Welt, die Evolution des Bewusstseins, die Entfaltung des Herzens und ein lebenslanges Lernen. In meinen bisherigen Lebensphasen war ich Lehrer, Kunsthistoriker, Sprachwissenschafter, Informatiker und Projektmanager. Heute lebe ich als Trainer, Coach, selber Übender und gebe gelegentlich Workshops in meinem Haus. Ich mag Gespräche mit Menschen, die persönlich, kreativ, heiter und tiefgründig sind. Wenn Gäste von ihrer Familie und Lebensweise in ihrem Land erzählen möchten, höre ich gerne zu. Ebenso gerne verweile ich in der Stille draussen in der Natur und daheim.
