We had an amazing week in Pen y Bryn. The cottage is a beautiful period property with an amazing extension which fits seamlessly to create a huge open plan kitchen and lounge area but also retains the cozy snug feeling of a cottage. The garden is beautiful and with the property being a bit out of Abersoch it is very quiet. The hottub was a real treat too. We'd seen a couple of reviews saying the Aga was hard to use but there are comprehensive instructions which were easy to follow. Our daughter loves baking and she baked some lovely brownies first time to perfection. Abersoch centre is about 10 minutes away - down on the way there up on the way back. We found it a nice way to walk off our evening meal. Hells Mouth beach is only 5 minutes drive away so the cottage is brilliantly situated for anyone wanting to get out on a board. We'd fully recommend Pen y Bryn to anyone and hope to be back soon - the only thing we're hoping to change is the weather!!!

The house was lovely and cosy- kitchen was great- we had 2 issues that were sorted very quickly.We’d recommend for any group. First class.

This was a gorgeous house, tastefully decorated and furnished and very well equipped. We loved the quirky furniture, paintings and photos. We came as an extended family of 10 with two small children and a dog to celebrate my 60th birthday. We loved the traditional front to the house and the modern extension at the back was amazing! The huge central open plan living space was perfect for being altogether as we cooked, ate and relaxed together. The kitchen was very well equipped and we managed finally to work out how to use the Aga (looked up instructions on YouTube!) The two further lounges were great too so we could have some peace when we needed it too! We also made full use of the extensive garden and hot tub. This is a very special house and although pricey, lived up to expectation!

Lovely spacious cottage with everything you need! Just perfect loaction, room sizes, remote and quiet but still walkable into town. Has loads of areas, snugs, boot room , games room and huge open plan living and bi folds. The garden is a sun trap (which we could have done with shade!). Only negative thing is the very impractical electric aga. We were there at a very hot period and cooking pizzas for instance was just a pain. The aga takes a long time to get to temperature, Then the aga emitted heat into an already hot space for hours after. Just something to bear in mind for cooking when arriving after a long drive. Bbq worked great but had to clean it down before use Such a great cottage and we had a wondeful time and celebrated 2 birthdays when there! Would 100% revisit.

Absolutely beautiful house with stunning bedrooms and plenty of space for the whole family. The outside area was also perfect for entertaining and socialising - the gas BBQ and hot tub was a personal highlight! A killer hill to walk up to from town but worth it.
