One can clearly see Vanja has put her heart and soul into the property. On our arrival we were personally welcomed to the property by Vanja with a small welcome gift of fruit and wine, not forgetting to mention a bottle of home made olive oil produced from Grandpa‘s olive trees. All that needed to be explained about the house was done well prior to handing the keys over. The offer of further help if needed was offered. The house was very clean and contained everything one needs for a self caterering stay, we did not have a feeling we missed anything. In fact it was immaculate and all utilities and more were made available. The small house size was perfect for 2 people, very well maintained and new quality fixtures. We loved the outdoor shower for cooling off when we returned from the beach or wherever we had been that day. The patio is of a good size (very private, cannot be looked upon) and was cozy providing a lovely view of Olive trees with an extended view of the fields and mountains in the distance. The location was perfect, 10 – 15 minute walk to Stari Grad for restaurants / shopping and a good location to explore other areas of the island by car. Stari Grad is a lovely town and a well detailed information pack produced by Vanja was on hand providing tips were to go, History of Stari Grad, best beaches, restaurants ect Grandpa’s olives is value for money in comparison to other properties and hotels on the island. The noise from the road does take a little while to get used too and we overcame this very quickly. If we ever return to Hvar again we will definitely look for availability at Grandpa’s Olives. Wir sind sehr freundlich und herzlich von Vanja empfangen worden. Wir haben uns auf Anhieb sehr wohl gefühlt. Als Willkommensgeschenk gab es eine Obstschale und Getränke. Vielen Dank dafür. Das Ferienhaus hat alles was man für einen entspannten Urlaub benötigt. Es hat an nichts gefehlt, selbst Insektenschutz war im ausreichenden Maße vorhanden. Das Haus ist liebevoll eingerichtet und der Olivenhain ist herrlich. Die großzügige Terrasse lud zum verweilen ein. Hier konnte man viele schöne Stunden verbringen. Die Küche ist gut ausgestattet. Kühlschrank mit einem Gefrierfach ist vorhanden. Der Wohn- / und Schlafbereich ist für zwei Personen mehr als ausreichend, zudem sehr liebevoll eingerichtet. Dort waren auch viele hilfreiche Tipps und Anregungen für die Insel vorhanden. Hinter dem Haus steht ein wunderbarer gemauerter Grill und eine Außendusche.

Vanja was an amazing host and even collected us from the local ferry terminal. She showed us everything in the house and left us a little gift too, as well as lots of info and recommendations. It's easy to walk into Stari Grad from here, and we really enjoyed Masilinica beach, a short drive away. As described, there is some road noise and no air con at the property.
