We had a charming stay at Kristie’s place- it was exactly what we needed and even though we booked very last minute, Kristie made us feel very welcome! The place had a rustic feel, very warm and cosy, accommodating and had every amenity needed. The surroundings were beautiful and peaceful and had a lovely area to walk through in the morning. Would definitely stay here again.

We were repeat visitors. Check in was 3pm. We arrived at that time. The cottage had not been cleaned from the previous visitors. The bed unmade, towels on floor, kitchen not cleaned, bin full. Also the sofa bed has been changed, not as advertised. It's old, lumpy & uncomfortable. Bed also not as advertised in photos. Justification for it not being cleaned was, "its my sons birthday". It was my husbands birthday & why we booked. Told to go for a walk whilst they sorted it. Offered a bottle of wine in compensation. We were due to eat in the pub for dinner. Didn't want to give them more money after our experience. It's a shame as we were repeat visitors, and a nice pub. Booked this well in advance & advised eta. No excuse. Also need to update their photos advertising this cottage. We won't stay again. Shame.

It would have been good to have some basics for catering e.g sugar milk salt&pepper etc and 2 wine glasses would had been nice. Bed was comfy and bathroom was good, but sadly we couldn't get warm even though the heating was working. Food and ambience in the pub was good and location was great. Dog was welcome in the barn and pub. Kirstie was very friendly. A little tlc and attention to detail and it could be super
