Elsa was very friendly, responsive, and helpful prior to and during my stay. She answered all my questions and recommended several restaurants close to the apartment. Her husband, Omar, speaks more English than she does so she arranged for him to meet me at the unit when I checked in, and he was very friendly and helpful as well. The apartment was clean and simple with great AC. I could walk to the beach and Manny's beach bar/restaurant--about 5 blocks, plus there's a great ceviche/mariscos place about 2 blocks away, and a nice breakfast and lunch buffet place called Lolita's about 3 blocks away. That restaurant closes at 5pm, but right next door is Lolita's Tortas, a small place with amazing tortas that's open in the evening. I took the Nena's shuttle van to Puerto Penasco from Phoenix, and Elsa even offered for her husband to give me a ride back to the Nena's office on the day I returned to AZ, but I had already left to walk there--it wasn't far. They were wonderful hosts!

El departamento está muy bien, en excelentes condiciones. Solo que en la parte de enfrente está un lote baldío y es muy grande y oscuro. Pero es un departamento seguro, y Elsa y su esposo son muy atentos y amables hacia cualquier cosa que pueda suceder.

You will like Elsa’s apartment. Simple, but clean and functional. Full kitchen, though tight. Communication with the host is translated by the website. If you are like me, and not a Spanish speaker, you will want the following tips for finding the apartment: G000Gle did not find the address in March 2024. The host sent a screenshot of a dropped pin and the address. Try to arrive during daylight otherwise it could be difficult, as you will see. The apartment is one block S of the Nissan dealership. The apartment is on the SW corner of the intersection. The parking spot gate faces E. You park in the center spot through the steel gates. Apartment #1 is on the ground floor, of maybe four total apartments. The key box is on the R, not L, of the entryway. If cool weather, use the black space heater. And if you have made it this far, confirm that the host has put in a new mattress before you book (as of March 2024). Trust me.
