Very friendly, place was clean, good facilities for cooking etc, great value for money. Definitely stay again when working in the area.

I feel that Mick judged me before he had any opportunity to. I told him I'd here visiting friends and that I was aiming to check in in the evening, to which I got a long rant accusing me of going to be like other guests he's had that stumble in drunk at 1 in the morning... I got this message at 10pm and was in bed. I got a follow-up message saying how if I didn't reply I'd end up with a bad review score. At that point, I only continued with the booking as it was too late to find somewhere else. When I got there and we spoke, he tried to pinpoint what pubs in the area I'd been to that night, despite not touching a drop of alcohol and arriving at his house totally sober. The room smelt musty and there was hair on the bed that whilst was my colour, I felt was longer than mine. So I can't say definitively the room was used prior. Otherwise the room was fine, as was the bathroom. I didn't use other facilities whilst staying. In summary, an affordable stay, but I won't be returning.
