I spent four nights at Mr. Dhammika's place and felt completely at home. His family was wonderfully hospitable, and Mr. Dhammika even provided local recommendations. The location, surrounded by tea plants, is breathtaking, just 6.7 KM from Hatton Bus Station. Breakfast is included, and Mr. Dhammika offers tasty meals at a minimal cost. The Wi-Fi is fast and reliable, perfect for Zoom calls. Mobitel has the best cell coverage in the area. Privacy is excellent. Overall, it's a fantastic place to stay, enjoy local cuisine, and leave fully satisfied.

Our stay went really well, highlighted by the warm hospitality of our hosts. The apartment was clean and comfortable, with delicious home-cooked meals that added a local touch to our experience. Nestled in beautiful tea estates, it was the perfect base for exploring The Pekoe Trails, discovering tea plantations and enjoying the tranquility of nature. Dhammika’s place is a perfect choice for those seeking comfort, warmth, and a picturesque setting. Highly recommended for a memorable and peaceful getaway.

The perfect place if you’re looking for a few simple & peaceful nights whilst exploring Adam’s peak and the surrounding area. We wanted to stay outside of busy Hatton so this place was perfect for us. If you want to go to Hatton for the shops then the bus or tuk tuk is easy. Dhammika and his family were the warmest hosts and went above and beyond to help us and make us feel welcome. Dhammika has a Tuk tuk and dropped us off anywhere we needed and always for a reasonable price. He dropped us to Adam’s peak start point (1 hr away) and we caught the bus back which was super easy as the bus stop was close to the house. He organised a really great tour of a tea plantation, drove us 4 hrs to our next stop, as well as helping us book accommodation and a safari guide. Dhammika’s mother-in-law is the best cook in Sri Lanka and I would highly recommend eating all your meals at the family home. They invited us to a cooking class which was a lovely experience and wasn’t charged for.

We had a lovely stay at Dhammika’s home stay. He welcomed us from the bus and gave us great suggestions for things to do around the village. The place is in a beautiful location, very quiet and out of town in a lovely village. This was the perfect stop before going up to Adam’s Peak! The room was comfortable and private with a lovely garden and hot shower with good pressure (always a bonus!). Dhammika and his family cooked a delicious dinner and breakfast and were so lovely and welcoming! They were the perfect hosts. We highly recommend staying at Dhammika’s!
