A great base to explore the surrounding region, whether as a family, on your own, a digital nomad, a couple, or, a group of friends.
Starting with Mogliano itself which is only 5 minutes' drive away, you’ll find everything you need for your stay, including restaurants, bars, a park to take young children (where you can also buy delicious pizzas), a beautiful and well-preserved, walled, historical centre, shops, bakeries, super-markets, banks and weekly outdoor markets (except during the month of August).
There are many biking, hiking, walking and riding trails within easy reach. Depending on how far you want to venture out into the 5 provinces of Le Marche, you can find around:
- 500 well-preserved piazzas,
- 1, 000 monuments,
- 100 theatres (Marche is known as "The Land of 100 Theatres"). We have our very own Teatro Apollo in Mogliano's main piazza, Piazza Garibaldi
- 200 churches,
- 90 abbeys, including the beautiful Abbadia di Fiastra, which is 10 minutes' drive away and offers tranquil surroundings to walk, cycle or ride in, as well as a health spa, bars and a restaurant,
- 106 castles (including Rancia Castle, a medieval castle, 14km away, in the nearby town of Tolentino, which is well worth a visit),
- 170 towers

With museums, art-galleries, stunning scenery, beaches, medieval hill-top towns, theatres, churches, out-door markets, fine-dining, snow-capped mountains in winter, nature-reserves, health-spas, wine-tasting and brand-name shopping, there's something to keep everyone happy, even if that means, just soaking up the sun, and relaxing by the pool.
The Coast
Marche’s coastline offers some stunning scenery, especially around Monte Conero with its high cliffs (offering 18 walks) and small beaches tucked away in corners of natural beauty.
Even closer for our guests is Porto San Giorgo, a pretty medieval fishing town with beaches, a lovely marina and restaurants. In July the locals hold the traditional Festa del Pesce (Fish Festival), where they gather to cook fish in huge frying pans.

The Sibillini
Lakes, waterfalls, deep gorges, woodlands and ancient monasteries are some of the highlights of this National Park.
Frasassi Caves
Here you'll find an underground world of lakes, beautiful transparent alabaster formations and vaulted caverns. Guided tours are available throughout the year. Visit their website for more information.

Macerata Opera Festival
Usually held every summer during July and August in the stunning Sferisterio open-air theatre. Tickets can be booked online.

We're centrally located and easily accessible from the following airports Ancona (1 hour), Pescara (2 hours), Rimini (2 hours), Bologna (3 hours) and Rome (3,5 hours).
Free, outdoor parking available on the property.
There are public buses that pass through Mogliano, and train-stations within 30 minutes' drive.
Please be aware that Uber doesn't operate in Italy and as we're located in rural Italy, taxis may be hard to find, or expensive for long trips.
If you are Italian-speaking, we can provide you with the contact details for a local private driver who operates in Mogliano. Otherwise, if you don't speak Italian, we would need to pre-book the taxi on your behalf (he generally requires at least 1/2 a day's notice).
We recommend that you hire a car (if you're not bringing your own) to allow you to explore this beautiful region.
