We really enjoyed our stay at Joanne’s house. It was all we hoped and more…quirky, cozy and a great base for exploring. Joanne left good instructions and recommendations—we love Marc’s pain au chocolat! There are tons of places to visit during a day trip, but also local walks. The highlight was the Cormeilles village fete with parade on our last day. Anyone wanting to visit Normandy I would highly recommend this village and house.

We had a lovely stay in this beautiful, unusual and characterful house. It is very clean, comfortable and well equipped with linen and towels of good quality. The staircase is steep and certainly keeps you fit! There is a downstairs toilet but the bathroom is at the top of the house. The games room/den was great and we really enjoyed playing darts and using the football table. We were a little surprised that this wasn't accessible directly from the house (you need to go out of the front door, round the side of the house and in a back gate). Cormeilles was a really nice place to stay and it 'comes alive' on a Friday as it's market day. There are a good selection of shops there and a supermarket within walking distance. The hosts were very helpful and responsive and we thoroughly enjoyed our free trip to Cerza Zoo. The animals seemed very well looked after and were lively and interesting! We also thought that the welcome pack was wonderful and thought had been put into it.

Wat een geweldig en sfeervol huis. Fijne haard in de kamer. Gezellige keuken met goede voorzieningen. Heerlijke bedden en mooie slaapkamers. Sfeervolle doucheruimte met lekker grote handdoeken, lekkere zeep en een fijne douche. Ook goed gebruik gemaakt van de gezellige tuinkamer. Bezoek was in januari, huis en tuinkamer zijn goed verwarmd met de verwarming en de haard. Prima locatie, centrum van het stadje is op loop afstand. Prima contact met de host, snelle reactie en behulpzaam. We hebben een fijne tijd gehad.

Joanne’s quirky, characterful Normandy house, along with the separate games room on the gushing little river between the houses, was the perfect setting to spend Halloween and my birthday week with our good friends and their 7 yr old daughter - it’s like something out of a fairy tale. Due to the triangular footing of the building the communal area in the house is in the downstairs entrance, but once the wood burner is lit & some candles, it is very cosy. The kitchen is well equipped (Shame the fridge isn’t a bit bigger but there’s a drinks fridge out in the Games room), nice welcome pack on arrival. Bedrooms are cosy and beds are really comfy. Top room has the 2 single beds but you wouldn’t want v young kids up there as the stairs could be a bit dangerous. Lovely to be in the town with great restaurants, patisseries etc on the door step. Even the pizza vending machine wasn’t bad! (Last resort on All Saints Day when all else was closed). Lovely market on Fridays

A beautiful traditional house in a beautiful Normandy village. I loved the kitchen and all it's equipment. The beds and bedding were just as described. The Stove was great and heated the beautiful staircase and bedrooms. I liked the top floor bathroom and being able to look over the rooftops and countryside in the morning. The garden room was brilliant, the table football and projector were both enjoyed. We used the Firepit and had a BBQ one evening, the little private area next to the River was magic. The circus visited during our stay so we had a couple of camels as neighbours! The restaurants in the village were traditional and we were made to feel really welcome. We visited Cerza, a beautiful wildlife park using the free family pass that Joanne provided, well worth a visit! Thank you Joanne, we will hopefully be back one day x
