It was comfortable stay, but it was inconvenient to unlock the doors due to unclear instructions from the Vacasa.

We really enjoyed our stay and the house and grounds were fantastic. The only issue we had was that the door code provided did not work and I had to call the support line. The Support Rep was very helpful and we were soon inside.

The home was listed with a hot tub amenity. Yet after we rented the home I reached out and asked to make sure the hot tub is cleaned and checked based on previous posted reviews. I received a reply saying the hot tub is no longer an amenity. You can still see part of the hot tub in a photo. The other photo they pulled. Extremely unacceptable especially since I rented this Airbnb based on the hot tub. When we arrived the hot tub was on the property but it was beyond dirty and not kept up. There is no working light above the dining room table. They only provided 3 dishwasher cleaning pods. Dead cockroach was in the upstairs bathtub. There is only Apple TV but no live TV. Check out is 10:00am. I traveled with 4 teenagers who need sleep. I was led to believe I would receive a later check out and was told it is noted and I should receive a text. I asked for 11am check out on a Sunday. Sunday morning I was told No, they would not grant an 11am check out and we had to be out at 10am.

Our family had a wonderful stay at the Sugar Bear Lodge Estate. The home and property has everything that a family would need to enjoy both an active and peaceful vacation; one could just stay there the entire trip. At the same time, Tahoe is a beautiful place and by car you are ~10 minutes to the lake and Tahoe City. Vacasa, the host, was slowish but overall responsive. We had an issue with one of the carbon monoxide detectors and it took ~15 minutes for a text response but we were able to troubleshoot ourselves. Overall, we would recommend this place to anyone looking for a great Tahoe getaway.

Pros: House with larger yard, large living room and game room. The bear decoration. Super cute! Cons: Dirty Yard (Empty alcohol bottles and cans in the yard/deck). No BBQ grilled. Plates and towels were still dirty. Floor from entrance to kitchen area dirty. Water in hot tub dirty. ANTS. many many giant ants. Zero help from Vacasa when we were not sure how to deactivate the active electrical bear fence (we were outside afraid to get in or touch the door because we didnt want to get electrocuted. called and werent able to reach anyone. had to resort to using go.ogle to figure out how to turn it off. )
