The surrounding area is picturesque with the flat entrance opposite the Loch.
Lochwinnoch is a small village with lots of amazing walks in all directions and play areas for Children and pets.
Although compact, the village has lots of choice from organic produce (21 Grains) a newly opened bakery, to a gift shop a few doors away.
Lots of good food is available, recommend The Junction for great coffees/ teas and home made cakes or cooked breakfasts/ light lunches.
The Boat Yard near the train station is also great for a quick bite or dinner.
Dolce vita is the local Fish and Chip shop and is popular take away. There are 3 x local pubs, The Brown Bull, Three Churches and The Corner Bar. All are very friendly and homely.
Further afield, I would recommend the Boarding House or Bowfield Hotel in Howwood for good food and surroundings.

Car parking is available for free on the quiet roads outside the flat and around the area. Main parking is on Church street.
The Lochwinnoch train station is around 10 mins walk (near RSPB Bird sanctuary) pathway opposite flat entrance. The train to Glasgow is only 20-25mins journey. Buses are available in various locations around the village to local areas & further afield places.
There are great cycle paths around the village and you can enjoy many routes in all directions.
