Welcome to Casa Janelas, our family holiday home which we built 40yrs ago in Cama Da Vaca, near Burgau. Spacious and light with brand new kitchen and bathrooms, sleeps 6, private pool, parking and large outdoor spaces. Well positioned, comfortable property in a tranquil location. Ideal for enjoying all the at this spectacular area has to offer. Mainly used by family we are now welcoming you to share in the joy that is Casa Janelas. Minimum 7 night stay. No Sunday check in. Casa Janelas is a very spacious detached villa in its own private, well maintained grounds. This is a traditional villa and a much loved family holiday home. Brand new well equppied kitchen with cooker, fridge and dishwasher. Utility room with washing machine, dryer and secondary fridge. The open plan living room /dining area is very spacious with comfortable sofas and a TV. There are large, sliding glass doors leading to the terrace. Downstairs are 2 twin rooms, one with an ensuite, there is also a family bathroom. Upstairs is the master suite which is a very large room with brand new superking sized bed, its own dressing room and ensuite. There is also a roof terrace with great views of the ocean and steps leading down to the pool area. Outside is a lovely pool (unheated) which has a cover. Please note that the pool is NOT gated and therefore is only to be used by children if they are accompanied by an adult. There is a lovely shaded outdoor eating area and BBQ area. There are plenty of other areas to sit and enjoy the peaceful location or to sunbathe . Casa Janelas has 2 private parking spaces located next to the villa. There is also a garage that can be used for storage of any equipment such as surfboards or bikes etc.

Our stay at this beautiful villa in the Algarve exceeded all expectations! The villa itself is an absolute gem – spacious, nicely furnished, and well maintained. The bedrooms were comfortable and provided a peaceful night's rest. The villa is located away from the hustle and bustle, yet conveniently close to the region's most charming towns, beaches, and restaurants. The highlight of our stay was the private pool and garden area. It offered us a tranquil oasis to unwind, soak up the sun, and take swims whenever we pleased. We also appreciated the outdoor dining area. Matt was exceptional. He made sure everything was alright and readily available to assist with a minor bathroom issue that could be solved immediately. In summary, this villa in the Algarve is a hidden paradise that promises a perfect getaway. We can't recommend this place enough and can't wait to return.
This home actually exceeded our expectations and, in fact, was even better than the listing shows. The house (including the views from it) are beautiful and the pool and other amenities were perfect—we could not have asked for more. Matt is a very responsive host (to be clear, we had zero problems with the house, but, for example, he responded right away with restaurant recommendations when we asked). We also liked the location—easy drive to great beaches, towns, sites and restaurants. Great place for a family or even just friends looking for a gorgeous place to relax. Thank you, Matt!
We're are just back from an amazing stay at Casa Janelas. Matt is a great host, very helpful and informative about the local area. The villa is one of the best we've stayed in. We will definitely be going back. The setting is fantastic with cliff top walks to local beaches and the most incredible views. The villa is a really good size. We are a family of 5 adults and we all found our favourite places to relax. We loved spending time in the pool after a morning exploring. Would highly recommend.

Cama Da Vaca is a quiet location on the cliffs close to the fishing village of Burgau. There are mainly large private villas in the immediate area but Burgau is a 5 minute drive / 20 minute, cliff top walk. Burgau has a beautiful sandy beach - ideal for families, there are plenty of restaurants, a couple of little supermarkets and shops etc. Larger supermarkets can be found in Luz and Lagos
Casa Janelas offers two off-street parking spaces which are exclusive to the villa. Whilst the fishing village of Burgau is only 15/ 20 mins walk either by road or via the more scenic cliff tops it is advisable to hire a car to explore the wonderful Algarve
