We had our air BNB cancel on us 15 minutes before check in! Luckily Gill was there to rescue us and put us up quickly in one of his fantastic apartments! Lovely guy, and a lovely team that run the air bnbs! 100% would recommend to anyone visiting Porto!

Jag rekommenderar verkligen Gils lägenhet! Vi bodde där en månad och kände oss verkligen hemma. Gil var dessutom väldigt service-minded och vänlig :) Det ända jag saknade var en bättre kökskniv. Förutom det var allt perfekt!

The studio is brand new so extra clean, you could almost feel the fresh paint which was amazing. The whole building has also been recently refurbished you can tell as well. The studio is well equipped and what it lacks (laundry/coffee machines for instance) it makes up by its perfect location. Laundry mat is 40m away and coffee shops are literally at the door. I stayed a month at Gil’s and felt like home. You have a brand new oven and dishwasher which when you stay for that long was definitely a big plus. Strong wifi, nice couch and a terrasse with a small table to enjoy the sun where it dares show its presence. Location wise, you are slightly outside Porto but since I stayed a month, being less than 750m from 2 huge supermarkets (Lidl is less than 250m), having a butcher, a bakery, a florist and a veggie market all in walking distance was way more important. Now, Porto is a small city anyways so you’d be by the bridge or historical center in about 20min walks if you take your time anyways. You have a bus stop right by the door and 2 metro stations within 5ish minutes walk which was also amazing. You can walk to the Stadium which as a mall and a cinema in about 20 min or take the metro and it’s only 2 stations. So the studio was great. The location was impeccable… But the host Gil was clearly the thing that made everything work. He was waiting for me at the condo to check in and spent well over an hour to map the city with places to visit, hang, eat, drink, or shop. He was always just a text away every time I needed. Very flexible during the checkout and let me overstay (I wanted to book longer but couldn’t they had no availabilities) They found me a cleaning lady as well who could come during mid journey which was also welcome. Overall it was a great stay, a cool place and an amazing host I recommend.

We took a chance and stayed at Gil's place even though he didn't have any reviews. This apartment exceeded our expectations and we would say here anytime we come to Porto. There were a few items that made it even better than expected. The location was fantastic. We within close walking distance to three metro stations and the Campanha train station. There was a bus stop in front as well. The apartment overlooked an interior courtyard. It was super quiet. We slept so well. The building and apartment are newly renovated and beautiful. The common areas are cleaned regularly. The elevator made it convenient to get our bags up to the first floor. Even though there isn't a washer in the apartment, there is a laundry located a couple buildings down the street. There is a Lidl and Continente grocery a block away and a wonderful fruit market at the end of the block. Gil was a fabulous host. This place is truly a gem. Highly recommended. Thanks Gil!
