Het is een prachtig huis met een heerlijk zwembad en mooie schaduw plekken. Alles ziet er keurig uit en ook voor de kinderen was er genoeg te doen zoals een tafel tennis tafel, speelgoed en voetbal tafel. Heerlijke douches en fijne badkamers en bedden! Een aanrader!

Très bon séjour dans la maison d'Isabelle et Bertrand. Le cadre est très agréable et nous avons profité en famille de la piscine et d'une maison très spacieuse.

We hebben met 12 vriendinnen een weekje in het huis van Isabelle verbleven en enorm genoten! De kamers en badkamers waren mooi en proper. De keuken was ook proper. De frigo was een beetje te klein voor drank en eten voor 12 personen voor meerdere dagen,maar dan hadden we een excuus voor eens extra op restaurant te gaan. De communicatie met Isabelle verliep super vlot en het huis is echt super leuk gelegen, een echte aanrader!

A wonderful old house with nice pool and the comforts of a recent renovation! The house in Valaurie has been recently renovated which means the rooms are all a good size, beds are comfortable, the bathrooms are very nice (and clean) and wellfunctioning, the living area is spacious and 'logically' set up. When we arrived we were two hours later because of traffic congestion, but because the communication with the lady, who received us and showed us around the house, was very good so there was no problem with the check in at all despite our lateness. We spent two very relaxed weeks in the house. The pool area is surrounded by trees and there is always a space in the shade to hang out in, at any time of day. This is not so obvious from the photographs. The sunbeds are comfortable, the pool is a good size (bigger than most private pools), and the lounge area on the terrace is also nice. We did not use the lounge area much because of the heatwave and the position of the sun in the afternoons, but I think outside July/August months this will be the perfect spot for an afternoon drink and some tapas. I am curious too if the dinner area on the terrace enclosed by windows that can be pushed aside, will be a comfortable spot to eat in Spring and Autumn, I expect it will be! The house is on the edge of a charming village (with a lovely bistro up in the village and a wine cellar/domaine just next door). There are hardly any noises from the neighbouring houses, but do not expect a kind of 'in the middle of nowhere complete quietness', because there is a D-road nearby, so you can hear the traffic a bit. Boulangerie at 2 mins drive, and several supermarkets and fruit stalls nearby. (Advantage of being close to the road.) The kitchen was well equipped, I made full use of it making a variety of dishes. There is lots to see in the surroundings of Valaurie, many pittoresque villages are nearby, and the gorges des Ardeche are just a drive away. Because it was so hot during our stay maybe we did not explore the area as we would have done with lesser temperatures, I am sure there are lots more activities that can be explored than mentioned above. All in all, a perfectly relaxing holiday in a really nice house. For all the families with teenagers: the wifi is working very well.
