The location is good if you wish to stay in a genuine Mexican neighborhood. People were friendly. Jaun Jose speaks some English but his parents who are often near the premises speak only Spanish. I would suggest that he prepare a bilingual booklet with information about the nearby laundry, larger grocery store and local places to eat. We travelled to Mazatlan for the total solar eclipse and Ubered into the beach area and to the centre where many good restaurants are located. This Airbnb is a little less expensive than a hotel in the beach area but is much quieter and less touristy. My son and I did not use the kitchen but appreciated its availability as well as the spaciousness of the accommodation and the additional access to the roof top sitting area.
