Best place to stay for a Fairfield County trip. Very nice little cabin on a pond. Will visit again.
We enjoyed a relaxing few days in this cozy cabin, drinking coffee in the sun by the pond, watching the birds, hiking in the nearby forests, and reading in front of the fireplace. This place has everything you need!
We loved our stay here - it has everything ….. beautiful countryside with grocery stores a short drive away and the ‘3 big pluses’ for us - a fire-pit with wood - a BBQ with coals and a log burner with logs! The cottage interior is larger than it looks from the outside picture, it’s a lovely cosy space with all kitchen amenities you need. This has been our favourite place in 6 months of travel.
I fell in love with this cabin and could have stayed forever. Jamie & Rose provided us with everything we needed. We had all the supplies in the kitchen and they left some oranges and chocolate. There was also a TV with access to Netflix etc. and many cozy reading nooks. Every room made you feel right at home and we loved seeing the trees through the window. It was pretty cold, but there are heaters in every room. Everything was perfectly clean. Jamie & Rose were super responsive and gave us recommendations for things to do in the area, like hiking. We also explored some nearby towns and lakes. The cabin is hidden away in the woods, but you still feel safe, since there are other houses nearby. If you are looking for a peaceful nature getaway, this is the place!

自我介绍
We live in Redding CT with our teenage daughter and two dogs. We love being outdoors and spend a lot of time sailing. I was born into a family of sailors and have been a professional in the marine industry for over 30 years. I love to travel and have friends far and wide that I like to visit. Jamie is retired from teaching high school English He probably loves sailing more than I do. I know he has read more sailing stories than I have. May likes to dance, swim and read. We love good healthy food, fresh air, clean water and friendly people. We are active, healthy and we have a broad "comfort zone". I prefer "traveling" over "touring" so I enjoy the personal aspect of being an Air BnB guest and the familiarity that it allows. Our home is open to friends and family and we love to host impromptu gatherings, usually involving a feast and a trip into the park either paddling on the small lakes there or x/c skiing, sledding and skating in the winter. We are fortunate to have this lovely little cottage available to host Air BnB guests and offer them a comfortable place to stay while visiting our little hamlet of Redding and the surrounding area. I love to help so I am happy to accommodate you. Mostly, we will leave you to your own devices but honestly, feel free to knock on my door if there is anything you need!
