Fabulous cabin located deep in the forest with everything we needed and more.. We loved the peace and quiet of the surroundings and watching the squirrels foraging in the sunshine from the deck. There are nearby walking trails that were easy to navigate and that Denisa had kindly printed out copies of. If it’s a wet day we highly recommend Cooters (to reminisce about Dukes of Hazzard) and lunch in New Market at Jacksons, great cafe/museum.

This was a great escape from the city. It was perfect for what we needed, but a little far from civilization/groceries/things to do. We had a power outage for a couple hours and there is no cellular for a 30 minute range, so we couldn’t contact anyone about it. We loved using the fire-pit/fire stove, and there was plenty of wood available. It was also a great place to see the stars. There was also everything you needed in the kitchen. We didn’t love that we got charged a cleaning fee but still had to strip beds and move all the towels for them. Regardless, it was a great space and matched the description well. Denisa was also very responsive.

We had a lovely time at Denisa’s place, as a little private artistic retreat. The apartment was beautiful, spacious, comfortable, and everything we needed was right there. We loved the cast iron stove and enjoyed a fire every night without having to venture into the cold! The cuckoo clock was a cute touch. Just a tip— if you are driving out for a hike and don’t have an internet hot spot, make sure to pay attention to the turns you’re making so that you can find your way back. We hiked Big Schloss and then realized that we didn’t have an internet connection for the return drive. Luckily, it wasn’t too complicated and we did make it back by paying attention to the signs we recognized along the road, and only made 1 or 2 wrong turns. We also stopped by the Lost River Trading Post after we checked out. Definitely worth going if you like local arts, goods, and knick knacks. Denisa was very communicative and friendly throughout the process. Would love to stay here again one day!
