Cisanello is one of the most recent quarters of Pisa; it is located in the north-eastern part, outside the historical center and extends up to 3 km in the area of Pisanova where the new hospital of Pisa is also located.
Although recent, Cisanello has become a very important nerve center for the city, the new headquarters of many institutions and offices as well as the new hospital and the CNR.

And then, medieval villages, towns rich in history, castles and fortification systems, rural churches (the so-called "pievi") and evocative abbeys, such as that of Sant'Antimo, are present throughout the territory and their profiles stand out in the landscapes of the Crete Senesi, Val d'Orcia, Garfagnana, Chianti and Maremma.
Finally, there are numerous sources of well-being: Montecatini, Saturnia, Montepulciano, Monsummano and Bagno Vignone that, thanks to the thermal waters and the centers equipped for every type of treatment, offer relaxing vacations.
