We had a wonderful stay over the Thanksgiving weekend. The location is private and beautiful and I'm sure in the summer months it is even more stunning. The house is clean, exactly as described and very comfortable. Everything was well supplied in the kitchen and washrooms. Alison was always very quick with responses to any inquiries and very flexible. She was very kind to leave us wine and lots of treats as we arrived and the flowers were so pretty. We would love to come back especially in the summer to fully enjoy all the extras such as kayaks and swimming in the private lake.

The house is in a stunningly beautiful location on Lake Opinicon, great for swimming and for launching canoes. The canoeing itself is fantastic. The lake itself is very peaceful. We encountered almost no noise from motorboats, maybe one went by per hour. We loved the location, because it felt quite serene and yet, we were a 15 minute walk - or short drive - from a charming campground that makes woodfired pizzas every day. And the house is a 7 or 8 minute drive from Chaffey's Locks, which has a great restaurant, the Opinicon, an ice cream parlor, and a small store. The house itself has beautiful views from the main bedroom, the office, and the living and dining room area. It is also quite clean with furniture that's in great condition. We hope to return in the future!

Our family was so happy to return this summer to Alison and Dave's property. A definite 5+ star stay. Owners are amazing...so personable, great communicators and always helpful. The property is fully stocked with kitchen amenities plus a few extra surprise treats! Super clean and maintained. A cozy home away from home. Thanks for creating and sharing this slice of heaven.

Wow . Just wow . Honestly I couldn’t have asked for better . The place has so many thoughtful touches we plan to use some of the ideas at home!! Thanks for the wonderful stay. It was phenomenal at the lake.

Private and quite cottage right beside the lake. We enjoyed the canoes and the kayaks a lot! My favourite part of the cottage is the fire pit and the tiny lights around. Warm and cozy. The host was very enthusiastic and helps us all along the way with any questions and needs.
