For the reasons given below, this review IS NOT for our booked accommodation at Gifford Park, Milton Keynes, hosted by HP properties. Four days before the start of the booking we had a phone call to say the shower at Gifford Park was faulty and would not be fixed in time. HP found us alternative accommodation which we accepted rather than cancel and foul up a whole load of plans we had made. On arrival at the ‘new’ accommodation we discovered this was lower quality, and as we researched it ourselves, at a lower price. On discovering the price difference, over £156 for the five days we had booked, we contacted the original host and had to negotiate hard to get a partial refund. Had we not asked, there is no indication they would have offered anything to us. Whilst grateful that we didn’t have to cancel our plans, the stay was not enjoyable. The accommodation we stayed in was in Brearly Avenue, Oldbrook, Milton Keynes, let by EliteSuites.

A pleasant stay. Decent place. Quiet neighbourhood, easily walkable, also easy to get about in the car- close to main roads and motorway. A local Tesco close by.

Lovely location for us and our dog with Giffard Park and the canal a couple of minutes away. Pubs were easily walkable to. Not sure what it would be like in summer with more going on around but for a winter break it was peaceful even for our somewhat reactive dog. The place had all we needed and was very clean.

second time we stayed. Good old fashioned bungalow. with secluded garden. perfect location for access to the park / canal and local centre by foot.

Shop and great canal walk close by. The property has two good sized bedrooms but lounge is rather small as can be seen from photo. The kitchen has pots and pans but little ovenware if you like to bake. The bathroom is not for you if you are unsteady on your feet as the exit from the shower is close to a step
