200m from the Canal de Bourgogne, it's an ideal stop for cyclists traveling along the 220km stretch of old towpaths. More over, The castle is close to all the winery. You will reach Beaune, Nuit-Saint-George, Clos-Vougeot, Aloxe Corton, in less than half an hour, driving through lovely winding roads, lost in the beautiful landscape of Burgundy.
About restaurants, there are many in a 15km area: you can have a gastronomic time in l'Abbay de la Buissière (5km) at the table of Emmanuel Hébrard (1 star Michelin), or a grill time in la Ferme de Roll (6km), an Historical time in one of the restaurants of Chateauneuf en Auxois (12km), a cosy time in "Le P’tit repère du Goût" (12km), a user-friendly time in la Ruchotte ...
If you don't want to ride your car, no panic, there is a restaurant "l'Eire du temps", just in front of the estate, on the village place.
About Sport, you could play Golf in Malain (8km), do canoe -kayak in Sainte-Marie ( 6km), horse ride in Jaugey (1km), fish in the Ouche river (200m), practice nauticals sports in Lac du Panthier (20km). You also could hike around the village of Barbirey, on the trails of the Cro-magnon men, or looking for the ruins of the medieval castle of Marigny... And what about jogging or binking along the canal de Bourgogne ? The sunny days, don't forget to bring your swimming suite, you'd be happy to dive in the Ouche river.
On the Heritage side, you could visit one of the most beautifull village of France and its castle in Chateauneuf en Auxois (12km) or the family castle of Voguë family, who own this estate for more than 700 years.

You can enjoy your stay walking in the parc and country side, cycling along the canal de Bourgogne (200m down the garden) or visiting the area by car.
