We had a fantastic time staying in the casa at La Puerta Azul. The hotel restaurant & bar manager Manuel, & staff member Estephanie took great care of us the whole week. The food & the drinks were just great. Huge portions & fairly priced. The hospitality was through the roof. Never have I felt so welcome & treated as family as we did this last week. Manuel is a good man & a saint. They took care of every desire & wish with a big smile & a happy demeanor. Watching the staff interact together was a thing of beauty. It’s apparent they all like each other & loves their jobs & enjoy serving their guests. And it shows. The location is great (the west side of the island) & quieter than other areas. The best sunset views are on the western side. The beach was clean & easy to walk during low tide or mid tide all the way to the other side The water is clean, the people friendly & the food/drinks amazing. Rooftop deck for sunsets & comfortable year/pool/hangout area just steps from the beach.

This is a beautiful beach front home with a private beach, private restaurant & bar. It’s important to point out that the house is part of a hotel. The private beach is shared with guests from that hotel only (6-8 the most). There was no wifi in the house only in the hotel lobby and restaurant. There is no AC in the common areas such as the living room, kitchen & dining room, only inside the bedrooms. Due to its beautiful private location, the house is located about 15-20 mins (in taxi) from downtown & all the main restaurants/bars. The mosquitos are aggressive in that area & can be a bit Uncomfortable, especially at night time, go prepared. The staff from the beach club restaurant were absolutely AMAZING & made our stay magical by catering to our daily needs of having private dinners during the sunset, making us cocktails while tanning, happy hour on the rooftop. They went above & beyond & can’t thank them enough. All their food & drinks were fresh & delicious. The staff in the front desk were also very helpful. They booked us all the transportation from Cancun to the hotel, tours, even the mariachis for our private dinner. Had a great time with my family! It was worth it.
